I looked at the method to find the truck for FR/LG and tried it. I think theres been a mistake; it doesn't work. Red/Leaf simply walks up to the ship, watches it leave, and exits the dock. == How to access the harbor after the ship leaves ==
This only works for RBY. To make the ship come back, you need a Pokémon with Surf. Stand to the left and above the sailor who tells you the ship left and turns you back. Take one step right, and in mid-step, hit the start button, similar to the Mew Glitch where you escape the Gambler. Immediately save and reboot. You should still be facing left, instead of down like how you usually start. Immediately begin Surfing, and you should be on top of the sailor. Then head down and enter the harbor. The ship will still be there and everything. If done correctly, it always works. == I need help ==
I tried to add the truck to Wikipedia's Kanto (pokemon) article but i have met a lot of resistance. One single user took it upon himself to repeatedly remove my contribution and caused a edit war. First it was called speculation, so i had to go out of my way to finding source after source. Luckily i found one that can't be disputed. Then it's notability was called into question and then the images were argued to not be allowed because they were Non-free but so are all the images on the same article. So can anyone help me get some more evidence to back my case up.
I need images that they can't argue against, sources and maybe some extra people who believe the truck can be added to the article and not hurt it. Yami Takashi 16:39, 24 June 2008 (UTC)

:Unlikely, as G/S/C have their own ship, the S.S. Aqua, and even if it was, I am not sure why that requires a placeholder... D/P don’t have a placeholder for the Griseous Orb or the Gracidea, and you cannot trade Key Items anyway. So don’t put your theory in the article unless you have some evidence( or at least a lot of people agreeing with you I guess? I know Bulbapedia is a bit more relaxed than Wikipedia). --LaprasBoi 00:49, 24 June 2009 (UTC)
::I agree with this, though. They might have put it in DPPt in case someone tried to hack the game with a pokemon holding that key item. It's a good chance SS Anne will show up in HGSS because it probably won't be identical to GSC, and possibly it could have other elements. Can't say the ship won't appear for sure. In the Red and Blue versions, talking to the man in the far left cabin on the top deck (the area you fight Blue in), adds Snorlax to your Pokedex, as though you had seen one without capturing it.  Should this be mentioned, either under Geography or in a Trivia section?  I don't know if this happens in FireRed and LeafGreen as well.

I own the original American version of Pokemon Red. There is no truck in it. When I pass the man asking for the ticket, I go to a zoomed out version of me walking to the ship. == Pachelbel's Canon Similarities?==
I was told by a friend that the music associated with the S.S. Anne, especially the arrangement seen in the Oceanic Museum, heavily borrows from the Canon. I gave the full canon a listen here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pachelbel%27s_Canon and I think it does sound pretty close when it gets around 2 and a half minutes in. I asked around several people to compare and they appear to find that the songs at least quote from the canon. What do you guys think? If it sounds close enough, I'd like to add it as a trivia point to both this page and consequently the Oceanic Museum's as well. Chicobo329 02:20, 8 June 2012 (UTC)
Error with the trainers
I was playing Pokémon Yellow Version when I noticed that there are some errors in that page (perhaps only for the Yellow version): at the 2nd floor, there is not a Gentleman with a Pikachu at lvl 23, but one with Voltorb at 22, no item and Magnemite at 22, no item. He gives 1540 money. And also the Lass has not the Pokémon written here (rattata lv 18 and pikachu lv 18) but only a Jigglypuff lv 20 no item and she will give 300 money. Is it possible to modify the page? Matsetes
Maps, and how to incorporate them
So I have acquired all the maps for the S.S. Anne in Gen III. I have constructed a guide to how it all fits together.
The guide can be seen: Here.
But I was not sure how to put place it around in this template. So how would you guys recommend doing so?

I attempted to access the truck using the collect Cut, lose to a trainer method.  However, as soon as I went back to the SS Anne, it took me to it, and then it departed.  Is this way only able to be used in Gen I?  I'll change it to say that if it is.  --<span style="color:#009900">It's</span> <span style="color:#CC66FF">Funktastic~!</span><small><span style="color:#99CCFF">話してください</span></small> 16:44, 24 March 2013 (UTC)
What happens if  you didn't pick up the HM01 before beating the game?
What happens if you skipped getting the HM01 and then beat the game? Does the SS Anne get replaceD with the Seagallop as usual, meaning that you will have permanently missed the HM? - Ericss (talk) 04:29, 11 October 2015 (UTC)
They removed the truck from the 3DS versions of RBY
Considering you can still do things like catch MissingNo., that's really funny. PowerPlantRaichu (talk) 13:32, 25 September 2016 (UTC)
Trainers
In the Let's Go games, if you skip a trainer fight that trainer will fight you until you get the Secret Technic from the Captain, after that point they will only talk and you won't be able to battle them. Ethan (talk) 20:49, 5 December 2018 (UTC)Dann
How to obtain Lava Cookie?
After the rival has been defeated, the player will be able to enter the Captain's quarters, where they will find him seasick. By choosing to help him by giving him a backrub, players will be able to get 01. Once the captain is healed, the S.S. Anne will sail away the moment player exits the ship.
How are you suppose to obtain this item if the Soul Badge is required to use Surf and the only way to progress through the game is by obtaining 01 and continue on to acquire the next badge in Vermilion City? Are you suppose to intentionally avoid at least one trainer, beat the rival and help the Captain, obtain HM01 then purposely lose a trainer battle? --Cloud9Skywalker (talk) 00:38, 21 July 2020 (UTC)
:Yes, that is exactly it, or trade in a Pokémon that knows Cut. See the Rumors section of this page. --<font color="blue">Hoenn</font><font color="green">Master</font> 01:52, 21 July 2020 (UTC)
Regarding The Truck
According to TCRF, the truck is a graphic leftover from Capsule Monsters. Should this be added to the rumors section? MageMagius (talk) 07:07, 7 August 2021 (UTC)
Fishing in S.S. Anne (tile oversight)
Evie recently posted this video showing how one can fish in the S.S. Anne — should a section on the available Pokémon and their encounter rates be added here, as in the Cerulean Gym article? (I do not possess the expertise to do it myself if so) --Bubmaeteo (talk) 06:37, 15 December 2023 (UTC)
