The long and short of it is that in the Japanese game, the Baby stage of evolution is not considered a subset of the Basic stage. In the US game, Baby was made a subset of Basic with all manner of text on other cards changed to make the gameplay identical between languages. I don't even know where or how to begin with putting all of that in this article, so I'm just leaving this here for some one else to figure out. | |||
