There are four gameplay modes in Pokémon Zany Cards.
 
===Wild Match===
1-5 players. Players are given the challenge of matching sets of cards on the table and winning coins. Once a player has played a card, they then draw a card and add it to the table; if this card makes a set that player gets coins. The player with the most coins at the end of the game is the winner.

Single player only. Four Kings is a variation of {{wp|Solitaire}}, only the card piles must be in a certain order and topped off with the King card (which is {{p|Magikarp}} in this game).
