Voice actor for Jessie's Gourgeist
Hello it's me. I put in that Haven Paschall voices Jessie's Gourgeist but then you undid it. You were wrong about the two Gourgeist being different. It's the same Pokémon. It's Jessie's Gourgeist. On Count Pumpk's page it shows Haven Paschall as the voice actor for Gourgeist but why not on the actual page? It's the same one, not two different ones. I'm suggesting you should change it back to what I had. MaahirMomtaz12 (talk) 00:41, 27 September 2015 (UTC)

Beta
Could you remove Picross from there? Unreleased games aren't exactly data-mined unless their ROMs leak somewhere, which is what our articles talk about (the pre-release stuff is currently misplaced in them). SatoMew2 (talk) 20:34, 15 October 2015 (UTC)
:I'll need to speak to the editorial board before I do anything with that. What's keeping me from acting on that at the moment is that some beta pages had pre-release screenshots instead of data-mined info. Berrenta (talk) 12:46, 16 October 2015 (UTC)
Assistance requested on a few maintenance pages
Hello, Berrenta.  I would like to request assistance on a few matters involving Special:SpecialPages.
For the first matter, it involves the Userspace pages User:TehPerson/Sandbox and User:TehPerson/Sandbox2.  Sandbox2 has three categories that are not created per Special:WantedCategories.  The three categories were old temporary categories that have been deleted.  Sandbox2 is using a template from Sandbox that contains the code that is creating the wanted categories on Sandbox2.  The user has not made any edits recently and might not be back for some time.  I was wondering if the offending code could be hidden or removed in one way or another so that the categories can be removed from Special:WantedCategories.  (The remaining categories are being called from Mainspace articles.)
For the second matter, it involves Special:DisambiguationPageLinks.  Currently, there are over 1,000 articles that are linking to disambiguation pages.  According to Template:Disambig, "If an article link referred you here, please go back and fix it to point directly to the intended page."  For some articles like Poké Ball, the page they link to is pages like Safari Zone, Pokémon in Spanish, Pokémon in French, and Battle Frontier.  For SZ and BF, both are referenced as all of their respective areas in the games on the page.  For the Spanish and French links, they come from the "In other languages" section of the article.  I was wondering if I could have your opinion about this.  --Super goku (talk) 22:29, 18 October 2015 (UTC)
:Sorry for the delay. I may look through those and fix as much as I can. Berrenta (talk) 18:16, 26 October 2015 (UTC)
::Okay, as far as it's concerned, Sandbox2 is using a template that has those categories as default. I may need to speak to a higher-ranked staff member about this. A deletion may be in order for Sandbox2, since it appears to test the code in Sandbox, but I want to double check with them.
::As for the Disambiguation Page Links, some are okay as is (like in cases where a Pokémon's page links to its disambiguation page), but shouldn't hurt to go through the list and fix what should not link to the disambigs. == Adding Japanese Blue to Kanto region ==
Hello Berrenta, I could use the assistance of an administrator.
For the Pokemon availability tables of Gen I in Kanto, I was hoping to add a fourth column for Japanese Blue Version in addition to Red/Blue/Yellow, using the Japanese Bulbapedia translated as a source. I am able to edit Template:Catch/entry1 to have a fourth column, and then go through each Kanto page and edit accordingly.
The problem is, when I did that, it came out looking funky. The "Games" title only stretched over the first three game columns ("R"/"B"/"JB") while yellow ("Y") was stretched out under location and level. To see what it looked like, for example, see my revision today Oct 29 on Cinnabar Island.
Another user, rightly so, undid the revisions I made so far due to the look. I think the problem is in Template:Catch/header, which can only be edited by an administrator. Would you be able to edit that template so that if I still want to add Japanese Blue Version Pokemon for Kanto areas, the "Games" title will stretch over all four Gen I games.
Are you able to help me? PalletTownie (talk) 06:42, 30 October 2015 (UTC)
:Looked over the template in question, but unfortunately I could not find a remedy to this there. There is Template:Catch/entry1, though, which I think is what is needed instead, though the header can get columns adjusted if necessary. I'll go see about a solution to this. Berrenta (talk) 00:39, 31 October 2015 (UTC)
::Got a test template ready, and will test it with the catch header/footer later on. However, as this is a major change, I'll need to ask other staff members if they are okay with this. Berrenta (talk) 15:04, 31 October 2015 (UTC)
:::Tested it out in my personal sandbox, and it appears the header is causing an issue with the table, so if we go with your proposed change, a ton of edits may be needed. I'll investigate matters further. Berrenta (talk) 01:05, 1 November 2015 (UTC)

:Not sure; I may need to read up on that. The red link that I fixed was something else within that template call. Berrenta (talk) 17:19, 3 August 2016 (UTC)

Leak/future content question
Hey, so I'm sure you're already very aware that the demos released on the 18th have already been mined to within an inch of their lives. I'm curious, though, will any of this information be put into Bulbapedia? Based on what's currently there, and Bulbapedia's normally very fast reaction time, I'm guessing it's going to be ignored until an official trailer or release says otherwise. But, why is that? Just to stay safe?
I'm wondering about the policy here, so I thought I'd ask a staff member. Thanks!!
Blootannery (talk) 05:14, 20 October 2016 (UTC)
:Hi. I want to make sure you get an answer as quickly as possible, so I'm going to go ahead and answer. As you can see from our site notice (Do not add any information datamined from the Pokémon Sun and Pokémon Moon Special Demo Version to Bulbapedia), we will not be adding information from the datamine. The reason for this is that there are legal issues involved with reporting on so much information that the general pubic is not supposed to have yet. ::Hello Crystal Talian, thanks a ton! In case you were afraid of a newb making mistakes, no, I haven't added any datamined data. I assumed there was a reason I hadn't seen any, and since I usually use the website on mobile, I didn't see the banner. Gah, I wish I'd just looked at my desktop and saved the hassle of asking around!! Thanks again! Blootannery (talk) 03:08, 21 October 2016 (UTC)
English TCG Images
I've noticed a lot of TCG pages only have Japanese cards to represent them. There are English variants over on the Pokellector site. I am not an autoconfirmed member, so I can't upload any images myself, but would it be alright to direct you to the ones that need uploading until I am autoconfirmed? For example, Bulbasaur from the Supreme Victors set. Alex95 (talk) 17:08, 7 April 2017 (UTC)
:Eh, on second thought, there are a lot of cards and I don't really feel like going through them all.......................... Alex95 (talk) 17:22, 7 April 2017 (UTC)
::For future reference, no user is allowed to take scans of cards from other websites. We have to either use the official images or scan the cards ourselves. However, the images are references for the artwork, not the text, so the image language is not a priority, unless the images are scans done by BP's users. == Edits were undone ==
I made some edits but they were quickly undone on page Character encoding in Generation I. I wasn't sure the reason but I suspected it was the imgur image so I asked another user to upload it to the archives and he agreed. I'm still nervous because I'm not entirely sure the reason it was taken down and if it was for other reasons. The only message I have is "Not the correct way to do things" so I'm not sure what that means. I reached out to the user who undid the changes for clarification but the user never responded.
I guess I'm asking if the changes are ok to apply now if it was only an imgur image issue because it's now properly in the archives but want to make sure theres no other issues before I try to re-make the changes. == Kuki and a possible new sockpuppet ==
First off, who's Kuki? I'm asking out of curiosity. I've never heard of this user before, and I can't seem to find the user account in question.
Second off, do you think you could check out another user by the name of GalarPony? I had suspicions about GalarPony and KnightGalarie being one and the same, and Force Fire checked them out, but nothing came out of it. But since you were able to find out that KnightGalarie is a sockpuppet, maybe you can reopen the case? Thank you! GrammarFreak01 (talk) 00:59, 17 July 2020 (UTC)
:Not sure what they did, but they were clearly well hated. Doesn't help me learn anything that the talk page is deleted. ¿¡Unowninator?! (talk) 01:17, 17 July 2020 (UTC)
::Say, out of curiosity, if you don't mind my asking, how did you find out he was the same person anyway? ¿¡Unowninator?! (talk) 05:19, 17 July 2020 (UTC)
:::I've been following discussions about this person at the wiki forum. Apparently, Kuki was blocked for a history of "edit-warring, uncivil behavior, and repeated sockpuppeting". Also, the admins are uncomfortable discussing how they found out in the first place due to privacy reasons. GrammarFreak01 (talk) 06:11, 17 July 2020 (UTC)
::::Fair enough. I wonder why they protected his talk page though? Don't they usually delete them? Also, I'm aware you're blocked, so it looks like this conversation is over, whether I like it or not. ¿¡Unowninator?! (talk) 21:47, 17 July 2020 (UTC)
