In the Trivia section, it is stated that Emerald was built on FireRed and LeafGreen. This is incorrect. I have looked extensively at the inner workings of R&S, FR&LG, and Emerald, and can confirm that Emerald's code is almost identical to that of R&S, with very few changes. The mechanics of FR&LG are completely different from the others by comparison. The "evidence" listed is simply a few small changes that were added to the R&S engine, and doesn't state anything about the game's code. Shall I update this section to correct this? :No, Pokemon Emerald was definitely not built off of FireRed and LeafGreen. FireRed and LeafGreen were built off of Ruby and Sapphire. And, there's no guarantees that Nintendo used the same battery across every production run of the carts. I know that my Sapphire and Emerald versions had different-coloured shielding on the batteries, so they probably were from different suppliers. | |||
