One thing I noticed is that while Marshtomp has one head fin and two tail fins, Swampert has two head fins and one tail fin, literally reversing. Should this be mentioned in either of their physiology segments? --259Yurtablmoron301 10:12PM, 25 February 2010

I use this site all the time and love it, and after many years finally noticed an error - Swampert's TM learnset (at least the one for Gen III) is missing TM 31 Brick Break. I've never edited a wiki site before so I'm a bit timid to do it myself, but if someone has a minute? Also not sure if Swampert can learn TM 31 in all generations. :Thank you for pointing that out. It's been added. == Friendship Bases ==
Not just here, but I think all pokemon should have their base friendship values on their pages.
Mega Hoenn
http://www.serebii.net/corocoro7141.jpg Mega Swampert (I HATE IT AND SWAMPERT IS MY 4TH FAVORITE POKEMON), Diancie and Sceptile confirmed. --MythKirby (talk) 22:51, 7 June 2014 (UTC)
I think the article needs protection
I think the page should be protected since Corocoro apparently leaked with mega Swampert and mega septile info Yamitora1 (talk) 22:51, 7 June 2014 (UTC)
Freeze Dry & Mega Notes
Should we mention that the move Freeze Dry is 4x effective on Swampert and other similar Water/Groundtypes?
Also, should we mention about Swampert's newly revealed Mega?

I am not sure if it is worth mentioning that Freeze Dry is 4x effective against such Pokémon. If the admins think that we should have this trivia, I think this would be more suited for Freeze Dry's page, rather than these individual Pokémon pages. As for Mega Swampert, we need to confirm it is official, as I explained on Sceptile's talk page. [[User:Uncle Edit|He's here! Simply curious, how do we do that? Shadowsofme (talk) 01:01, 10 June 2014 (UTC)
Normally, the leaks are revealed starting around this time of each month, but this one was a few days early, so we are suspecious as a result. To answer your question, I would say the best way to prove it (in this case, at least) would be to wait for what Game Freak has to reveal in the very near future. If what they reveal isn't in the leak, we can assume that said leak isn't official. I'm pretty sure there are other ways we can do this, but I'll let an admin explain in more detail if possible. E3 just confirmed it, and it appears in the new trailer. JacobCrystal (talk) 18:15, 10 June 2014 (UTC)

:Whether or not Mega Swampert is/was fake or not should have zero bearing on this trivia. It never belonged on Swampert's page, or on every Water/Ground Pokemon's page; it belongs on Freeze Dry's page if anywhere. And the point sounds very straightforward and obvious to me (if a Pokemon has two types Freeze-Dry is supereffective against, it'll take 4x damage...just like every other move); I actually don't think it's worth mentioning anywhere.
:And while I'm complaining, why just Water/Ground? Are Water/Grass, Water/Dragon, and Water/Flying less important/notable? Understand, I'm not advocating mentioning all of them. But Water/Ground isn't even a uniquely vulnerable/existent typing. Tiddlywinks (talk) 20:37, 10 June 2014 (UTC)
Missing levels
Shouldn't the missing levels for the level-up moveset be filled with the levels Marshtomp learns them at? I mean, there hasn't been any reports of changing levels for elsewhere, be it within this website or other sites.

Name Origin
I'm assuming name origin theories are speculative and not, like, official? If so, anyone else think the -ert in Swampert might be from inert? Swampert's big and pretty slow... Masternachos (talk) 01:52, 9 March 2016 (UTC)
:It's pretty speculative. That said, I'd say "rampart" and "expert" are flimsy too. (And that said, I'm not saying that means "inert" should necessarily be added.) Tiddlywinks (talk) 02:05, 9 March 2016 (UTC)
::Expert makes very little sense to me, which is why I even bothered with this. At least the Wiktionary definition of rampart talks about "a defensive mound of earth," which works because it's Ground-type, usually with "a stone parapet," which is a low wall, which you can get from the ridges on Swampert's head. But expert? Frankly, I'd just replace expert with inert outright. Masternachos (talk) 02:27, 9 March 2016 (UTC)
:::I thought about it a bit more afterwards and I kind of like the idea that "ert" could be a corruption of "earth". It's at least a lot closer (conceptually) than the other options right now. Tiddlywinks (talk) 02:45, 9 March 2016 (UTC)
