Hawlucha is a small, bipedal bird-like Pokémon. It has red, cape-like wings that are connected to its tail with turquoise undersides and small clawed hands. It has red chest feathers, a white abdominal area and legs with small yellow feet. It has a turqoise, mask-like face with an orange stripe down the middle, as well as orange rings around its eyes. Hawlucha has a small, red beak, and a white patch underneath it. It also has three orange tassle-like appendages jutting out of the back of its head.--[[User:BigBadBatter|BigBadBatter]] ([[User talk:BigBadBatter|talk]]) 01:01, 30 October 2013 (UTC)

Japanese and Korean name etymology

Now this page is unlocked... I propose that the ブル and 불 in their Japanese and Korean names (respectively) mean "bull", as in the animal. Like it's tough-as-a-bull.

The only other possibilities include:

  • 不 = ぶ bu, 불 bul: not, un-
...but 不 usually belongs in the beginning of words.

...that is unless ブル/불 is just a corruption of リブレ/리브레, but... aw, forget it. I'm putting too much thought into this. -- Nick15 (talk) 17:06, 24 October 2013 (UTC)

Origin

Along with luchador design, Hawlucha seems to based on eagle warriors which are also a part of Mexican tradition. Phoenix-f- (talk) 20:41, 24 October 2013 (UTC)
