== Priority of the move ==
I was wondering, is Detect really a +3 priority move? I used both Detect and Protect in a double battle. Hitmontop used Dected before Scizor used Protect, and as I'm positive Protect is +4, doesn't this mean Detect is +4 as well? This happened in a gen 5 game, so perhaps in previous generations the priority was different and it was changed later on?

I'm curious; is there any difference between this move and Protect? They seem to both have the exact same effect, only Protect has double the PP. I can't see any reason why you wouldn't simply use Protect instead of this move. -- Jioruji Derako.> 02:59, 11 May 2007 (UTC)

If your Pokémon has both moves, you can alternate between Protect and Detect, essentially giving you 15 turns of invincibility (and that's before taking PP-raising items into account). Diachronos 16:37, 23 September 2008 (UTC)

Priority of the move
