In the [[core series]] games, a Pokémon that uses {{m|Transform}} accurately copies the appearance of the target. However, in the {{aniseries|OS}} episode ''[[EP037|Ditto's Mysterious Mansion]]'', [[Duplica's Ditto]] retained its original face while transformed until it eventually learned how to transform its face as well. Although this was originally presented as an anomaly, several other Ditto in various [[Pokémon]] media have also been depicted with their original face while transformed, and these transformations have been featured in merchandise such as in the [[Ditto Collection]].
