Origins

We do not use definitive wording when describing origins, regardless of how blatantly obvious it is. Unless there is a source to back up the claim, we use wordings like "appears to be", "may be" or "seems to be".--Force Fire 11:48, 29 March 2022 (UTC)

Remember to include the username of the user whose signature is missing when placing the unsigned template i.e. {{unsigned|Landfish7}} instead of just {{unsigned}} Landfish7 06:38, 1 April 2022 (UTC)

The Preview Button

Instead of editing a page several times in a row, try using the preview button to make sure your edit looks the way you want it to. It's right next to the Save Page button. Please try it out, so as not to clog up the Recent Changes. Also, if you want to edit multiple sections of the page, make sure that you click "edit this page" at the top of the page rather than editing it by section. Featured article templates

Do not remove or hide those templates, even if they don't seem to fit the criteria, they did at the time those articles were considered featured articles.--Force Fire 13:49, 25 April 2022 (UTC)

I wasn’t aware that I am not supposed to. I misunderstood what the page on what a feature article is said. Although I reckon we need to un-deprecate the system, as many featured articles don’t meet our current standards, such as Pokémon World having many unsourced claims.--MissDelibirda (talk) 14:04, 25 April 2022 (UTC)

Edit conflict

Please keep in mind that reverting an edit 3 times, as you did on the Pokémon Legends: Arceus article, can be seen as edit warring. If you disagree with multiple other users about the content of a page, please bring it up on the relevant talk page. Landfish7 17:53, 19 June 2022 (UTC)

Correction: You did not directly revert 3 times, but by reverting twice, there are 3 total back-and-forth edits, which can constitute as edit warring. Landfish7 18:04, 19 June 2022 (UTC)

In regards to your edits on Hypno and Lechonk's species' pages: again, reverting a revert can be seen as engaging in edit warring. If you disagree with a revert, please bring it up with the relevant user on their user talk page, or bring it up on the talk page of the relevant article. Thank you. Lechonk

Regarding your revert of Force Fire's revert, the point Force Fire is trying to make is that the only reason Lechonk looks like a piggy bank is because both of them look like pigs. There's no other evidence to support Lechonk being based on a piggy bank aside from them both looking like a pig, and thus it should not be included. Landfish7 20:23, 23 June 2022 (UTC)

Marking templates for deletion/moving/etc.

Hi there, just wanted to let you know that your edit caused all instances of the template being transcluded to also display that {{discussDelete}} template on that page. I'm sure you didn't want that, but it's a special case for templates as that's how they usually work, i.e. displaying what is that template exactly onto pages whenever it's called. I've fixed that here, so that that portion won't be displayed.

For templates, it's totally sufficient to only use the talk page whenever it's about such a suggestion (many templates are protected anyway), preferably naming the new talk page section appropriately. I appreciate you making that suggestion, though, so that it can be discussed. Thanks. Nescientist (talk) 17:36, 18 August 2023 (UTC)
