By creating your account you are now able to edit pages, join discussions, and expand the community-driven Pokémon encyclopedia. Before you jump in, here are some ground rules:

  • Be nice to everyone. It's in the code of conduct.
  • Make good edits. Preview them before you save to make sure they're perfect the first time around.
  • Use wikicode and link templates when adding content to a page.
  • Use proper grammar and spelling, and read the manual of style.
  • You can't create a userpage until you've added to the encyclopedia. It's a privilege. See the userspace policy.
  • Use talk pages to resolve editing disputes. Don't "edit war," or constantly re-edit/undo the same thing on a page.
  • If you have a question about something, be proactive. Take a look at our FAQ. If you're still stuck, ask for help. The staff won't bite.
  • Sign all talk page posts with four tildes (~~~~). This will turn into your name and the time you wrote the comment.
  • For more handy links, see the welcome portal.
Thank you, and have a good time editing here!

Sourcing information

I recommend that you provide a URL to the primary source of any kind of brand-new information in your edit summaries. I know you provided patterns that could back your information, but I think everything needs to be taken with a grain of salt regardless, unless we have solid, explicit confirmation. Just a heads-up on that. GrammarFreak01 (talk) 03:34, 25 October 2018 (UTC)

Check the discussion page for the Player character, I posted an imgur link for a screenshot of LGPE's female protagonists name. It's in the Smash Bros livestream, during the Treehouse section. I have yet to find the male protags name (which is, in fact, Chase), I haven't quite gotten to wading through hours of demo footage. Argentarus (talk) 16:29, 1 November 2018 (UTC)
The fact that there is no official reveal for the male protagonist's name despite your insistence that it is Chase shows me the reliability of the info. I suggest we wait until the release of the game like we've always done. GrammarFreak01 (talk) 19:07, 1 November 2018 (UTC)
Here. Male protagonist and rival's name right from E3 OF THIS YEAR, and the female default name from the Nintendo Treehouse right after the Smash Direct. All promotional material and official showcasings, besides the downloadable 3DS demos, will always have the default names. You can't press enter without entering a name in the newer games, the default name is the non-game-title name in the promotional material, excluding **original** Gen 1 and Gen 2 protagonists.

If they bring the name selection back, we'll see who's right in four days. Argentarus (talk) 23:02, 12 November 2018 (UTC)

Linking articles

Hey! There was absolutely no need for you to link to any article if there's already a link to it, especially within the same trivia piece. If you're going to link to an article, make sure that it isn't already linked within the same section. There only need to be one link per section. Thank you. G template

Please don't use the {{G}} template to substitute having to type out "Pokémon", unless you're typing out the Gen VI+ games or Gale of Darkness. The proper template for the pre-Gen VI games would be the {{Game}} or one of the various {{V}} templates. A full list of template can be found here. Thank you.--ForceFire 06:04, 29 March 2019 (UTC)
