::Well getting back to planet earth for a second I don't think that is going to happen in pokemon (James does not count since he does this often enough with Jessie). I mean it is so obvious. If Gayness is looked down upon then how do you think romance is looked upon in the anime. Apparently most of Ash's pokemon are classed as things simply for being in love with a female pokemon but all female pokemon have to do to be classed as female is be in love with a male character (or in Bayleef's case Ash) or even just wear flowers or whatever.
