I know what I'm talking about

From About.com[1]

What is Ketamine?

Slang or Street Names: Special K, K, Vitamin K, Cat Valiums Ketamine is an injectable anesthetic that has been approved for both human and animal use in medical settings since 1970. About 90 percent of the ketamine legally sold today is intended for veterinary use.

Ketamine is produced in liquid form or as a white powder that is often snorted or smoked with marijuana or tobacco products. In some cities (Boston, New Orleans, and Minneapolis/St. Paul, for example), ketamine is reportedly being injected intramuscularly.

At higher doses, ketamine can cause delirium, amnesia, impaired motor function, high blood pressure, depression, and potentially fatal respiratory problems. Low-dose intoxication from ketamine results in impaired attention, learning ability, and memory.

If you say so. The Dark Fiddler - 10% Satisfaction Guaranteed! 19:02, 4 March 2009 (UTC)
Technically, Special K shouldn't be taken as an unacceptable username due to it being the name of a very much legal breakfast cereal, which is what that name is most associated with. The only way that product would be illegally obtained is if it were shoplifted, stolen from a transport truck, or smuggled out of the factory. It's best to assume that the user based their username off the cereal and assume good faith. --Shiningpikablu252 21:18, 4 March 2009 (UTC)
Although Wikipedia lists about 5 people with the nickname Special K, maybe he should be banned for impersonating a real person? The Dark Fiddler - 10% Satisfaction Guaranteed! 21:45, 4 March 2009 (UTC)
Kuki's just mad that he's taking his nickname. TTEchidna 03:12, 6 March 2009 (UTC)

It is very much so grounds to ban you! Politoed! Plus, you can lick toads to get high! TTEchidna 03:23, 6 March 2009 (UTC)

Sorry...

Sorry About That. It's just because that after DP117, The Preview for DP118 was shown. It clearly shows Paul's Honchkrow evolving Staravia. That pokemon just loves evolving Ash's pokemon... - unsigned comment from Torngentleman2 (talkcontribs)

Fall or Fell

Isn't in techincally supposed to be 'fall'??? The sentence is ...wind that can fell nearby trees. Shouldn't it be 'fall nearby trees'? I'm not a big grammar geek, so you may be right, though. --Theryguy512 11:14, 18 March 2009 (UTC)

It was taken directly from Serebii.net's Pt Dex entry of Garchomp. I'm not saying that they're correct, but that's the only Dex entry we've got so far. Only 3 days more, so we better wait for the game to come out and confirm this. Ҝəυzø8 11:20, 18 March 2009 (UTC)
Fell and fall are two different verbs. The Dark Fiddler - You enter a poorly lit room... 11:23, 18 March 2009 (UTC)
Just because I have to go to school, and you may ask how so (Unless you get it already), here's two examples;

I tripped on the Geodude and fell.

I felled the tree with a single swing from my axe. The Dark Fiddler - You enter a poorly lit room... 11:33, 18 March 2009 (UTC)

And just to clarify officially, fell means "To make something fall; especially to chop down a tree." I think that about sums it up. — THE TROM — 22:01, 18 March 2009 (UTC)
Oh, okay. I guess you're right. Thanks for explaining it. Sorry for the inconvenience. --Theryguy512 22:40, 18 March 2009 (UTC)

By "versed in everything" you mean "gets mistaken for sysop twice and is called a mini-mod"? Don't hold your breath. The recent desysopping of several users indicates to me that this elite group will stay more elite. In essence, I don't foresee any cake heading my way. List of Pokémon with cross-generational evolutions

I'm not even sure if it was worded correctly or not... All I know is that out of all the cross-generational evolutions, there aren't any between Gens I and III. Every other combination has at least two (1-2, 1-4, 2-3, 2-4 & 3-4), which is why I thought it may be worth jotting down. TheChrisD RantsEdits 21:42, 15 May 2009 (UTC)

Well, I saw it more that there were only 2 3rd Gen Pokémon that added to an evolutionary line, so its not that unreasonable that Gen 1-3 doesn't have one. The Dark Fiddler - You enter a poorly lit room... 21:43, 15 May 2009 (UTC)

I didn't see that the other account had already been banned until I banned the second one. Theoretically I could go un-ban one of them, but I have no reason to trust any user who makes more than one account in such a short space of time. AdvInc page deletion

Why are you deleting the page? Sp1derp1g Nothing is true, everything is permitted 20:55, 3 June 2009 (UTC)

Because I want to, I no longer desire it there, and I feel that it just sitting there, not growing at all, is an insult to our forum. If you want it, you can move it to your userspace before it gets deleted. The Dark Fiddler - You enter a poorly lit room... 20:58, 3 June 2009 (UTC)

So this doesn't turn to a edit war i'll say it here and not a undo summary

Yes, Ash pulls out a ball to recall Pikachu a few times once when his mom raises a question about pikachu being out of its ball, and again when it battles onyx.

The Trainers use one of the balls Oak gives them, but the ball the Pokemon was in when they chose it is not taken.

That's Why ash picked up 3 empty balls. They're just place holders until a actual trainer can be registered to that Pokemon. Yami 01:19, 7 June 2009 (UTC)

Hmmm.... is that ever actually stated though? You do make a good point though. The Dark Fiddler - You enter a poorly lit room... 01:21, 7 June 2009 (UTC)
Lots of things on here have never been explicitly pointed out or stated. Common sense and a good eye plays a lot in this.
A Pokeball is normally registered specifically to a Pokemon to a specific trainer. That's why a Trainer has to go to special places to change a pokemon's ball.
When Ash's Snorlax ball broke, he couldn't just recall it to any ball on his possession. A Trainer has to either go to a Center, or some kind of Pokemart (I forget if it was a rich lady with a Snubull or a Meowth who got a fancy ball for her pokemon) to have balls changed or upgraded in some way.
If those balls were permanently attached to those starters, then Ash would have no balls to pick up and find empty. Gary would have taken the ball holding his squirtle and left with his groupies. Yami 01:32, 7 June 2009 (UTC)
Well, I'm still a bit skeptic, but it looks like you've got your position planned out enough. I concede. The Dark Fiddler - You enter a poorly lit room... 01:34, 7 June 2009 (UTC)

so can you undo your undo? i don't want to get chewed out by a mod or anyone with a chip on their shoulder Yami 01:37, 7 June 2009 (UTC)

Far ahead of you, good sir. Have a nice night. The Dark Fiddler - You enter a poorly lit room... 01:38, 7 June 2009 (UTC)

the EP001 Errors section needs some TLC

could you remove the following erros from the EP001 article?

  • Professor Oak had all three Poké Balls that contained the starters when Ash went to get his starter. However, all three Trainers already got their Pokémon before Ash came, and presumably would be using those same Poké Balls to keep their starter in.
  • Professor Oak hands Ash his Pokédex and six Poké Balls despite the fact that, in the games, the player receives five. Also, Oak is handing him one more Poké Ball than he needs, as a Pokémon Trainer can only hold six Pokémon at one time.

Being that those are just place holders, and the 6th ball is to replace them and register the starter to the trainer, those errors are obsolete. I would do it but I've edited that page to much for everyone's comfort.

you have one or two less edits so your less in the red then me Yami 02:18, 7 June 2009 (UTC)

I don't see those, did you already edit them out? Also, sorry I was slow reacting, I went to bed, so I didn't see this until two minutes ago. The Dark Fiddler - You enter a poorly lit room... 12:34, 7 June 2009 (UTC)

Should we do something?

Hey Fiddler, someone is going around to every page adding,"The route is set to appear in the Generation IV remakes, Pokémon HeartGold and SoulSilver." to every generation II article and stuff similar to that. Should we be doing something about it. See this for more info (http://bulbapedia.bulbagarden.net/wiki/User_talk:Kenji-girl#Generation_IV) -MasterKenobi 00:40, 13 June 2009 (UTC)

Eh, I wouldn't personally, because I think it should be there. If the admins say that it shouldn't be there, then I won't do anything to stop you. If you want Dialgafan to stop until the admins say something (although they probably already have said something somewhere), ask them to stop until they do make the ruling. The Dark Fiddler - You enter a poorly lit room... 00:48, 13 June 2009 (UTC)
Thanks. -MasterKenobi 00:55, 13 June 2009 (UTC)

Hey!

Hi Fiddler, some newbies are going around deleting stuff that doesn't need to be deleted, like they deleted the origin of Heracross (http://bulbapedia.bulbagarden.net/w/index.php?title=Heracross_(Pok%C3%A9mon)&diff=785659&oldid=780024) -MasterKenobi 21:40, 13 June 2009 (UTC)

It would be best if you told an admin about that. --αワニノコ 21:42, 13 June 2009 (UTC)
The thing is I don't know how to find the current admin. Could you pass that on then? -MasterKenobi 21:43, 13 June 2009 (UTC)
The best way to find an active admin is to look for the last admin to make an edit. Look right here. The dark lord trombonator was the last admin to make an edit, so you can tell him. --αワニノコ 21:46, 13 June 2009 (UTC)
Contacting an admin should be done only after reverting the edit, and then asking the person in question to stop removing valid information though. The Dark Fiddler - You enter a poorly lit room... 21:50, 13 June 2009 (UTC)

Pokémon Power trivia

The piece of inaccurate trivia you had restored on Arceus LV.X (Advent of Arceus 77) after I'd removed it listed that it was the first card with more than one Pokémon Power, of any sort. That is far from being the case. The first card with more than one Pokémon Power, regardless of power type, is Igglybuff (EX Crystal Guardians 21).

You had cited that the Igglybuff had "one Poké-BODY and one Poké-POWER", and citing the Arceus trivia as accurate because the Igglybuff in question didn't have "two of either". Hate to break it to you, but the term "Pokémon Power" not only encompasses older-style Pokémon Powers, but also Poké-POWERs and Poké-BODies as well. Because Igglybuff has a Poké-BODY and a Poké-POWER, it most decidedly has two Pokémon Powers of any sort, a milestone you're trying to place on the Arceus in question.

****, the Arceus in question isn't even the first card to have two Pokémon Powers of the same type! Porygon-Z LV.X (Majestic Dawn 100) takes that crown with its two Poké-POWERs. About the only crown the Arceus in question can take is the first with two Poké-BODies. --Shiningpikablu252 16:29, 16 June 2009 (UTC)

Yeah, I got that when you stated that in your edit summary. Excuse me for not realizing that two differently named things were both encompassed by one thing. The Dark Fiddler - You enter a poorly lit room... 16:34, 16 June 2009 (UTC)

About your concerns

I see where you're coming from, but Japan has been heavily influenced by Western Culture. They might not make multiple references to the fat lady like a American Cartoon (like in a cartoon you could have seen before cartoon network shoved all the good stuff out of the way), but I'm sure they've come across the reference. Its not so much the Valkries I believe Jynx to be based on some what, but the Fat lady. Look at Jynx clothes (are those considered clothes?) The other Pokémon have origins that are far stranger. Look at Golduck. One of its Origin creatures is a Platypus. While I've compared the two for as long as I've compared Jynx to the fat opera lady, it still would come off as weird to many people. Really the things Pokémon are based off of are hit and miss. I didn't see a real similarity between Blissy's hair and Nurse joy until I read the origin. The thing people chose to forget here and there is a lot of whats on this site is guess work. Until Psycho Rider lives up to their name, and holds one of the creators at gunpoint we have to guess.
