In Red Rescue Team and Blue Rescue Team, and Explorers of Time,  Darkness and Sky, Dive is a move with 12 base power, 100% accuracy, and 12 PP, attacking enemy in the front; this move's damage is doubled at the end of damage calculation. While the user is underwater, projectiles will pass the user as if their tile was empty. As in main series, the user can still be hit by Surf and Whirlpool. This move can be used only on a water tile (including the shallow water in water dungeons); it will fail if used on any other type of tile. If the water was drained with Drought Orb while in middle of Dive, the user will still attempt to attack, but fail due to not being on a water tile. Due to being a two-turn move, this move cannot be linked. In Explorers of Time, Darkness, and Sky, Dive is a TM. However, no Pokémon are technically compatible with it as it was not a TM in the Generation IV core series games; the only Pokémon who can use it are those who already learn Dive via level-up due to the game's logic allowing Pokémon to learn TM moves if they learn them via level-up, even if they are not actually compatible with the TM itself.

In Pokémon UNITE, Dive is Cramorant's first move. It is obtained by reaching level 6 and upgrading Whirlpool into it instead of Surf. The user turns the designated area into a puddle, then dives to that area, shoving and damaging enemies in the area. The user catches prey for Gulp Missile as they emerge from the puddle. Holds 3 uses in reserve. There is a 1.5 sec cooldown between charges, which is reduced with cooldown reduction. At level 13, the move's damage is increased.
