DJ Mary: Difference between revisions

DJ Mary is well known for her engaging celebrity interviews and radio segments, which broadcast across the [[Kanto]] and [[Johto]] [[region]]s. She is good friends with {{an|Professor Oak}}, and often works with him. She is also a celebrity in her own right, and has her own fan club.

Mary debuted in ''[[EP160|Air Time]]'', where she was first seen at the [[Goldenrod Radio Tower]]. {{Ash}} appeared on her show to talk about his Pokémon and his aspirations. She was due to narrate the next radio segment, a drama series, but {{TRT}} had earlier destroyed the radio station's tape reels. Team Rocket, disguised as the [[Dugtrio Trio]], and Ash's group helped fill in the voice actor roles while DJ Mary narrated the radio drama about "Prince Goldenrod". She was forced to improvise after Team Rocket added their own twists to the script, but she managed to tie everything together.  

She reappeared in ''[[EP245|Will the Real Oak Please Stand Up?]]''. She and Professor Oak were going to do a live show in [[Maroon Town]], but Team Rocket got wind of this and disguised themselves as Oak and Mary. With the help of [[Nurse Joy]], a quiz show determined who was the real Oak and Mary.

Mary reappeared again in ''[[SS008|Oaknapped!]]'', where she informed {{Tracey}} that Professor Oak disappeared before he could tape a segment for her show. Tracey and [[Ritchie]] caught up with her and [[Officer Jenny]] at {{an|Seafoam Island}}'s TV Station. Together they located Oak and defeated his kidnappers, [[Butch]] and [[Cassidy]].

DJ Mary worries about her broadcast schedules, though she is remarkably composed and upbeat during her performances. She is quick thinking and can easily go impromptu during a radio interview as seen in ''[[EP160|Air Time]]'', when she noticed {{Ash}}'s overwhelming nerves.
