It mentioned the fight with the mega rayquaza in the Mega Evoltution Special II, we see many references of the games in the anime, but the oppositte doesn´t happens, it was already proved that game events happen in the anime such as Psyduck´s Block in the Sinnoh saga, i don´t see why this is different.
