Tyson's Meowth: Difference between revisions

Just some time after Tyson began his journey in [[Hoenn]], he first meets Meowth when it was in a pack of its kind in a forest near [[Ever Grande City]] on a snowy night. Their leader was a {{p|Persian}}, Meowth's evolved form. Meowth had a fierce {{pkmn|battle}} with the leader and was defeated by a combination of {{m|Fury Swipes}} and {{m|Shadow Ball}}. After the battle, the pack abandons the Meowth and leave. Tyson sees this and brings the hurt Pokémon to a cabin he was traveling to. In the cabin, he helps Meowth to return to full health. As the soles of Meowth's feet were painful to stand on, Tyson gave it boots to help it to walk again. Meowth then joined Tyson's [[Party|team]] and became one of his strongest Pokémon.

In ''[[AG125|Like a Meowth to a Flame]]'', Meowth rescues {{Ash}} and {{ashfr}} from a flock of {{p|Murkrow}}. It became Tyson's walking Pokémon during the [[Ever Grande Conference]]. Later, it has a battle with {{TRT}} after they steal the flame of {{p|Moltres}}. Team Rocket's {{MTR}} has a rivalry with the Meowth in boots after it tried to take back the torch from the trio. It was able to defeat Team Rocket's Meowth and finishes them with Thunderbolt, blasting them off.

In ''[[AG126|Saved by the Beldum]]'', Meowth has another battle with Team Rocket after they trapped Ash and Morrison when they were in a race. The Meowth in boots defeats Team Rocket with Iron Tail sending them crashing in some trees. Tyson and Meowth go with Ash, his friends and Morrison to the Pokémon Center in order for Morrison to register for the Pokémon League. Tyson and Meowth leave the center after a brief conversation with Ash and the others, meditating outside.

When it was Tyson's turn to battle in the preliminaries, he chooses Meowth while his opponent, [[Vivica]], chooses Persian. During the battle, Meowth becomes very determined to defeat Persian. Despite the fact that Vivica's Persian had the early advantage, Meowth was able to defeat it. After the battle, Meowth decides to continue the battle even though Persian was [[Fainting|unable to do so]] and Tyson had to hold Meowth back. Tyson [[recall]]s the Pokémon before it was able to attack. This made Team Rocket's Meowth soften towards Tyson's Meowth since they had the same hatred of their evolved form.

Meowth was not shown battling in the second round but made a cameo in ''[[AG129|A Judgment Brawl]]'' where it was shown defeating a Trainer's {{p|Rhydon}}. In [[AG130|the next episode]], Tyson tells Meowth and his other Pokémon that Ash is a powerful opponent but Tyson {{pkmn|training|trained}} them hard and they cannot afford to lose. Team Rocket's Meowth gives Tyson's Meowth advice but Tyson's Meowth had everything under control when it sliced a tree down, making it fall.

In ''[[AG131|At the End of the Fray]]'', it was the final Pokémon Tyson had left during his battle against Ash after both sides were down to one Pokémon. During the battle, its speed complements the power of its claws to produce a difficult opponent to beat. Ash ended up having further difficulties as Meowth's {{m|Thunderbolt}} defended itself every time {{AP|Pikachu}} used {{type|Electric}} [[Move|attacks]] while Meowth used {{m|Iron Tail}} to swordfight with Pikachu's Iron Tail and {{m|Double Team}} could be used against speed attacks such as {{m|Quick Attack}}. After a long battle, both sides started to feel worn out from the battle. They were able to stand up though. However, Pikachu wasn't able to keep up and fell back down, leaving Tyson and Meowth as the winners. After the battle, Team Rocket's Meowth was more proud to be a Meowth than ever before when Tyson's Meowth defeated Ash's Pikachu in battle.
