I also got a Protein from Sailor Huey after I had battled, and defeated, him many times in Pokemon Crystal.  The message was something to do with him saying he's used many items and tried many times, but is never able to defeat me so he's giving me the Protein as he's getting rid of the items he's tried.  This particular battle was notable as his Poliwhirl was now a Politoad for the first time.  I'm also curious if this happens to other trainers.  [[User:Onyx|Onyx]] 5 May 2014
