 Camerupt first appeared in the main series in ''[[AG046|Candid Camerupt!]]'' [[Winstrate family|Vicky Winstrate]] used the Eruption Pokémon to battle [[Ash's Pikachu]]. Once Pikachu struck Vicky's Camerupt on the nose with {{m|Iron Tail}}, Camerupt went on an {{m|Eruption}} rampage. Vito's {{p|Alakazam}} used {{m|Rain Dance}} in order to stop Camerupt before it could reach the Winstrate's vegetable patch.
