:::::::Look, this is silly. You were the same one stressing months ago that Unova had the "motif" of New York City rather than being "based on" New York City. Now you're arguing the opposite, that the culture of the Pokémon World is "based on" Japanese culture rather than simply including elements of Japanese culture. Yes, the original games are Japanese, and probably drew from the experience the developers had in their own culture.
