Kimono Girl

Okay, so I'll bring it back. There's a chance that this was just a mistranslation of "Oneesan". But I think that we don't have a reason to think so. I'll bring the trivia back, then. --Maxim 20:46, 2 April 2010 (UTC)

Voltorb Flip, Level 7

I saw your comment. Is there any sort of congratulatory text? I have access to a text dump, but couldn't find anything in it. Additionally - I have heard rumors of a supposed level eight which you get by beating seven enough times. Do you know anything about this? Cheers, —darklordtrom 07:32, 10 May 2010 (UTC)

Since that comment I heard about Level 8 too. I only beat 7 twice before I dropped back down, and no, there was no congratulatory text. So I can't confirm or deny the existence of a Level 8, sorry. --AndyPKMN 13:59, 10 May 2010 (UTC)
Well, if we could only gain the trust of someone who does tool-assisted speedruns of HeartGold/SoulSilver, we just might be able to find out exactly how high Voltorb Flip can go. We'd first have to start out with zero coins, then use the tool-assists to win every single game encountered. The upper ceiling would be the level when we hit 50,000 coins. This should, at the very least, confirm whether or not there is a level 8. --Shiningpikablu252 15:07, 10 May 2010 (UTC)

Wow

I log on and plan to do this, but you did it just an hour ago. --SnorlaxMonster 10:20, 13 May 2010 (UTC)

Hey Andy

Sawamular101 has confirmed that the page in question does not resolve the Isshu at hand. Well, at least from one point of view. It confirms that nothing more was said regarding Isshu other than how "New York is Isshu's motif" and how "Masuda is very attached to the city".

So, until further information regarding the basis of Isshu is revealed, New York

  • puts on sunglasses*

is Isshu's motif. YEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH.

xD

Sorry, I just felt the need.

But yeah, Sawamu has confirmed that the page says nothing more than that.

--Mackinz of SoulSilver 03:45, 3 October 2010 (UTC)

That's cool. I don't know a lick of Japanese, so I was just taking it on faith and Google translate. In other news, though, didn't it mention something about Hiun Gym being based on MOMA or something? That's a pretty nifty bit of trivia. --AndyPKMN 11:57, 3 October 2010 (UTC)
Indeed it is. But that is not part of my goals. I'll leave the trivia-adding to the people who know templates xD
--Mackinz of SoulSilver 14:06, 3 October 2010 (UTC)

Claw Sharpen

I removed it because it had a PP difference. The variation page says they have same PP among other things. It's Turtwig A! My talk or wiki edits 02:08, 10 October 2010 (UTC)

Oh, sorry. I should have double checked. I just added it because the Claw Sharpen page had that template on it. --AndyPKMN 14:33, 10 October 2010 (UTC)

Green Pheasant is national bird of Japan.

There are a lot of people who know the Pokemon is from Japan. However, the people of large majority do not know that Green Pheasant is national bird of Japan.

Green Pheasant is national bird of Japan.

Why did you delete this sentence? Will you similarly delete it in the future? Sawamular101 12:51, 13 October 2010 (UTC)

Do you hate me because I helped the motif? Was my sentence deleted for the abhorred reasons?Sawamular101 13:11, 13 October 2010 (UTC)

Sawam, I doubt he hates you because you helped the motif. He just has not responded yet because he has been busy. He may respond later today (in the USA) so give him a bit more time. --Mackinz of SoulSilver 14:09, 13 October 2010 (UTC)
Thank you for advice. It is agreement of the opinion of Mr. Mackinz. It seems to have been my thoughtless idea. However, the idea of national bird doesn't swing. Sawamular101 14:26, 13 October 2010 (UTC)
Sawam, it is not a thoughtless idea. There is thought behind it. Well, my thoughts, but my thoughts were not some stupid attempt to turn everyone into thinking that there is no connection between New York and Isshu. My thoughts were to maintain the ambiguity of a neutral statement until more is known regarding the basis of the Isshu region. Nothing else. Which is what I tried to keep establishing. But I guess no one paid attention to that. Anyway, the only reason it is still "basis" is because of the context of the interview. However, context is a shaky base. There could be context in it or there couldn't. Technically, the motif version is still the correct version until we know more.
Also, I would love to help you with the page that you are talking with Andy about but I have no idea which it is. But good luck, my friend. --Mackinz of SoulSilver 14:47, 13 October 2010 (UTC)
Sawamular101「It seems to have been my thoughtless idea.」
This sentence is an apology to Mr. AndyPKMN to the unfavorable criticism. It was a childish idea of having deleted the sentence because I was disliked.
I'm sorry by poor English. Sawamular101 15:08, 13 October 2010 (UTC)
I undid that edit because the sentence was hard to connect to the origin. I understand that that particular pheasant is the national bird of Japan. However, I am unconvinced that the Pokémon is based on that particular type of pheasant, rather than a pheasant or quail in general. From the Wikipedia article that was linked to, it appeared that the colors of the Pokémon were all wrong, and there were few other similarities either. To be clear, I don't have Black or White versions, so if there is any information on behavior or appearance that ties Kenhorou to the Green Pheasant, please feel free to re-add the origin statement. Just make clear how we can tell that is the origin in the first place.
Sawam, I'd also like to make clear that I bear no ill-feelings toward either Mackinz or yourself over the debate over Isshu's basis. We're all trying to improve the wiki, and a group effort like this is bound to lead to some confrontations. --AndyPKMN 15:59, 13 October 2010 (UTC)
I saw your edit. Thank you for leaving the sentence of the possibility that I added it just as it is. It doesn't agree completely because it is a Pokemon. Thank you for admitting some similar parts.
It was a mistake to bring the problem concerning a past discussion in to this place. It apologizes for my improper remark.Sawamular101 16:46, 13 October 2010 (UTC)

Comunication besides Bulbapedia

I would really like to talk to you without the prying eye of the Bulbapedia moderators. Any way I can? MSN messenger, Yahoo or something? Twitter? dA? --Mackinz of SoulSilver 19:28, 13 October 2010 (UTC)

Hm? I don't know, I'm not big about giving out contact info. I do have a DeviantART; I'm "drewstertwin". I suppose you could contact me there. --AndyPKMN 23:36, 13 October 2010 (UTC)

Your sandbox

Although this isn't a big deal, just, for next time you make a page, it is much easier to handle if you have the userspace page at the future page's name instead of at your sandbox. Not necessary, but meh. It's fine for the easy chat system, just, for future reference if you plan on working on more than one thing. MaverickNate 18:32, 14 October 2010 (UTC)

Sorry. I wanted it to be reusable for other articles. --AndyPKMN 19:22, 14 October 2010 (UTC)

BW predictions

You're not the first person asking about this. At first I didn't want to predict BW stuff but now I think I could do this. But only game characters (and very major anime characters). And maybe places, if I come up with anything good. I am not going to predict Pokemon. I've got some good predictions for BW characters, so I might put them up sometime. --Maxim 12:20, 16 October 2010 (UTC)

Anville Trains

Would have asked on your train page, but figured you might see this sooner. Would you like the complete information on each train? I have that, if you want it, since this is going to take a week and a half, otherwise. Luna Tiger * the Arc Toraph 11:12, 24 April 2011 (UTC)

Oh yeah, that'd be great. In fact, if you already have all of the information, you could see about going ahead and integrating it into Anville Town's article. No need to give me the information if you can add it on your own. --AndyPKMN (talk) 11:46, 24 April 2011 (UTC)
Not quite sure it's that easily integrated, but it's there, now. Luna Tiger * the Arc Toraph 14:24, 24 April 2011 (UTC)

About saving server space

I would appreciate your continued advice on doing my part to save server space, as this page appears to be a much more peaceful place for discussion. Okay, so deleting my talk page contents isn't permitted, understood. That aside, what are other things I can do as a member to cut down on unnecessary usage of server space? Thanks! Cheers, Haxorus 06:20, 10 May 2011 (UTC)

Look at page histories. Every revision of every page is stored in the database. Server space isn't an issue, and these "space saving" edits you're planning actually increase the size of the wiki. The issues we are having are to do with server load (i.e. the number of connections at any one time) Werdnae (talk) 06:32, 10 May 2011 (UTC)

Your "Adding Music to Other Pages" suggestion.

Hello! I am not sure if you are still active on Bulbapedia, although I agreed with your Project Music suggestion of documenting music usage! I had an idea of doing something similar, although the amount of work has been a bit daunting.. I think documenting the usage of each encounter theme (for important Pokémon Trainers as well as the various Pokémon Trainer classes), battle theme, "post-battle/aftermath" theme, location theme (for buildings, natural landmarks, and routes), minigame theme, and cutscene theme (such as "Rayquaza's Descent" from Pokémon Emerald) would be an excellent endeavor for Bulbapedia, although admittedly, it would take a lot of work. I could probably help out with documenting music usage in Pokémon Emerald and Pokémon FireRed, although we would need a lot of help for the other games. Fenyx4 (talk) 21:49, 21 January 2016 (UTC)

Hi! Sorry I didn't ever get back to you about this—it's been a while since I was an active editor but I noticed your comment when I logged in today. To be honest, it's been so long that I'm not even entirely sure of the best way to go about this. And considering it would involve so many different pages, I don't know whether diving right in would be the best option. I think I might start creating a list of the music to specific routes in my Sandbox. Once I've actually got some work to show for it maybe I'll approach someone about adding that information to the actual pages. —AndyPKMN (talk) 19:36, 8 March 2016 (UTC)
