Adaptability (Japanese: てきおうりょく Adaptability) is an Ability introduced in Generation IV.

Effect

In battle

This Ability effect may be in need of research.
Reason: How does it work with Stellar Tera?
You can discuss this on the talk page.

Adaptability increases STAB of a Pokémon with this Ability from 1.5 to 2.

When a Pokémon with Adaptability is Terastallized, Adaptability only affects moves of the Tera Type. If the Pokémon's Tera Type is one of its original types, its STAB is 2.25; otherwise, it's 2.

Outside of battle

Adaptability has no effect outside of battle.
