"Because" indicates causality. "As" indicates concurrency. For example, "I was late because my car wouldn't start," and "As I was making my way down the steps, I tripped and fell." "As" does not mean "because." "Due to" is the only acceptable alternative to "because" that isn't a wordy phrase. "Since" can only be used as a reference to a point in time or as an alternative to "because" only if both parties know the reason why. This is a wiki, so we don't assume, so "since" cannot be used as "because."

The only other way "as" can be used is as "like," such as it was used in the middle of this sentence. "Due to" is the only acceptable alternative to "because" that isn't a wordy phrase. I liked how you reworded some of the entries, but I disagree with replacing "No choice" with "None of the other choices" (If the question is "Which has the advantage?" and none have the advantage, "no choice" is appropriate) and "Swampert is the best choice" with "Swampert would be the better choice" (There are 3 choices and Swampert is the only one not weak to Psychic; hence it's the best). --IWannaBeTheVeryBest (talk) 15:28, 26 September 2012 (UTC)

:Thanks for the lecture :D. I used "As" due to a lack of other words to use to substitute "because". I may have gotten overboard too as a few "because" is okay unless it isn't used in every single section (IIRC, using "because" a lot is unprofessional, at least what I heard).

:I felt "none of the other choices" would be more specific" and the Swampert piece, good point.--<span style="color:#424B50">F</span><span style="color:#848A8D">orce</span><span style="color:#E3CED0">F</span><span style="color:#EDDFE0">ire</span> 02:12, 27 September 2012 (UTC)

::It is, but since (ah? see what I did there) we have only two ways to say this, we should try to reword the entries like you have, or be left to repeatedly use "due to," "because," and horrendously wordy phrases like "as a result of."
::Hmm, I get what you mean now. If we just finished saying that the "correct" answer is wrong, we should then refer to the others instead of the whole set, which is a break of context. I'd prefer to use "No other choice" just because I like conciseness. --IWannaBeTheVeryBest (talk) 13:18, 27 September 2012 (UTC)
