Bulbapedia

I'm really not a consistent editor here at Bulbapedia. I don't even edit a particular section often, though my knowledge of the games is probably my greatest asset here, and my watching the anime ocassionally provides enough information that I can make intelligent edits there as well. I haven't read the manga, however, which throws me out of the loop so to speak in terms of working on those articles. Otherwise, I prefer Bulbapedia to bigger sites like Wikipedia for a couple reasons. It's a lot more slow-paced here; fewer editors make fewer problems, as well as less vandalism. And I'm able to edit most of the articles here, considering they all revolve around the same topic - Pokémon.

Parties

I'm not currently playing the games right now due to lack of interest...But, seeing as I'm a competitive noob, I'm asking for some pointers and maybe movesets or (non-legendary) Pokémon suggestions on my talk page. Much appreciated.

Notable teams of mine:

Leaf Green

Venusaur

Ninetales

Poliwrath

Snorlax

Espeon

Steelix

Nothing much to note. A Pidgeot had Espeon's spot until I could evolve it after the Elite Four.

Emerald

Blaziken

Sceptile

Flygon

Walrein

Wailord

Manectric

By far my best game ever. 383 of 386 on Generation III Pokédex (minus Ho-oh, Deoxys, and Jirachi). Sceptile is actually from an old game of Ruby I discovered.

Pearl

Torterra

Staraptor

Simba

Floatzel

ヘラクロス

Ozai

Another good game. I've caught 444 of the 493, and counting. Ozai put on this team after Golem didn't fair so well. Simba named after The Lion King's Simba (also a lion), and Ozai after Avatar's Fire Lord Ozai (who also fathered a Zubat I named "Zuzu", a reference to Zuko). The Japanese Heracross, I got off of the GTS at level fifty-something with Pokérus for a mere Clefairy. Hehehe...

Platinum

Infernape

Platinum

Juliet

Rhyperior

Benny

Rotom

Moby Dick

Electivire

Clearly, I'm going all dual-types with my first six, no repeated types. My Empoleon, Platinum, came from my Pearl version. I got lazy training a native Rhyhorn, so I traded a Rhydon with a Protector over from Pearl as well. Benny is named after my school mascot ("Benny Bomber," after a B-52 bomber jet). Juliet's name should be pretty obvious. Frost Rotom finishes the dual-type bit, plus some Ice coverage. The last two were added after the Elite Four. I caught Moby Dick (after the whale from the book Moby Dick) as a L.74 Magikarp in the Resort Area and Electivire just smashes things very well. At the moment, I'm working on the Battle Frontier with Infernape, Moby Dick, and Electivire as a team and Togekiss as an individual. So far, I've acheived the silver sticker at the Battle Hall and Battle Arcade.

HeartGold (2010-ish)

Ah, sweet victory! I never doubted they would be released. Here's an incomplete team:

Feraligatr

Typhlosion

Exeggutor

Tauros

Others under consideration:

Crobat

Ampharos

Mamoswine

Dragonite
