I read somewhere that you can fight Prof. Oak with his actual team by doing the Ditto Trick with a special of 226, then using Growl on Ditto six times. This brings Ditto's attack modifier from 7 (unmodified) to 1 (down six stages). If the Special Stat (in this case 226) had been a normal Pokemon, this modifier would have affected its Level, but for a Trainer, it instead loads the '''team number'''. Prof. Oak in this case has three teams, each with a different final starter, so using Growl four, five, or six times would work (a modifier of 3, 2, or 1). If the modifier was 4 or higher, the game instead loads glitch data for Prof. Oak's "fourth team" (doesn't exist), resulting in glitch stuff. This might work with other Trainers, but I haven't tested it out.
