			:Both Silver and Bede soften up considerably by the end of the game. Additionally, in Masters EX, Ethan (who represents the player character from the Johto games) refers to Silver as a friend. I'm not sure if Bede is ever directly referred to as one, but he's certainly not any worse than Silver.
