Shinji (The Legend of Thunder!)

Shinji (Japanese: シンジ, he is not named in the dubbed version) is a character of day from The Legend of Thunder!. He confronts Jimmy in the beginning of the special.
He challenges Jimmy to a Pokémon battle with only one claiming that he had never lost any battle up to that point. He starts the battle with his Hitmonlee and is surprised to see the strength of the Pokémon that he hoped fell out with one attack.
With it he decides to attack with another move but his Pokémon are defeated by the high leveled Pokémon from Jimmy. After seeing his Pokémon injured he decided to confirm if he was okay, and then the Jimmy congratulates the great battle.

| Hitmonlee is the choice of Shinji in the battle against Jimmy, he begins his shift using a powerful Hi Jump Kick that he hoped to defeat the opponent, yet he still remained standing. His trainer try another strategy and uses a Mega Kick, but was no match for a Flamethrower used by Jimmy's Typhlosion. After the battle, Hitmonlee shows a sign that all was well with him and is congratulated by Jimmy and Typhlosion by the battle provided .
Hitmonlee's known moves are Hi Jump Kick, DynamicPunch, and Mega Kick. | ||

Trivia
- The role of Shinji in the original version is slightly larger than the American version of the special, he is introducing himself for Jimmy at the beginning of the battle and also have a scene where both trainers exchanged the numbers of their Pokégears.
