There are certain designs and shapes on the ground that have different effects in dungeons. Yellow star-like shapes allow the Pokémon to attack twice automatically with the same attack when standing on the shape. The eraser-looking shapes on the ground make items that are thrown disappear when the Pokémon is standing on it.
