Pete Pebbleman: Difference between revisions

He was the third opponent [[Ash Ketchum|Ash]] faced in the [[Indigo Plateau Conference]]. He appeared in ''[[EP076|Fire and Ice]]''. Ash faced Pete on the Ice Field. Pete's {{p|Cloyster}} nearly defeated [[Ash's Kingler]] by trying to wear Kingler out by using {{m|Withdraw}} while Kingler kept whacking Cloyster's hard shell with {{m|Crabhammer}}. But Kingler kept attacking and Cloyster was finally defeated.

Pete then sent out {{p|Arcanine}}. Despite the type disadvantage, Pete's Arcanine easily defeated Kingler by dodging Kingler's {{m|Bubble}} and then using {{m|Dragon Rage}}. [[Ash's Pikachu|Pikachu]] was then sent into the battlefield. While Pikachu used {{m|Agility}} to confuse Arcanine, Arcanine kept using {{m|Fire Blast}}, melting the Ice Field, in order to prevent Pikachu from using Agility. Pikachu dove into the water and shocked Arcanine with {{m|Thunderbolt}} which channeled through the melted water becoming more powerful, thus defeating Arcanine. Because of his loss, Pete was eliminated from the tournament.
