- It is thought that its body is hollow with only a spectral ball of fire burning inside. However, no one has been able to confirm this theory as fact.
Name origin
Dusclops's name is probably a combination of dusk and cyclops. Its Japanese name is probably a combination of 彷徨う samayou, to wander about, and 夜 yoru, night.
Dusclops may be based on a cyclops, a mythical race of giants that had one eye. Dusclops is also similar to chōchin obake, one-eyed haunted paper lanterns.
