The Bells are Singing! (Japanese: シャンとしてリーシャン！Pull Yourself Together, Lisyan!) is the 70th episode of Diamond & Pearl series, and the 536th episode of the Pokémon anime. It first aired in Japan on March 13, 2008 and in the United States on August 16, 2008.

Ash was training with his Gligar and asked it to turn. Unfortunately, Gligar made a wrong turn and when Ash pointed this out, Gligar didn't know what to do and crashed. Then Dawn was flicking through PokéChic, a fashion magazine that showed Pokémon in outfits. Buneary liked the one Delcatty was wearing, but her favorite was the one Pikachu was wearing. Ash and Pikachu didn't like that one at all. Then Dawn pulled out a vest for Buneary, Dawn designed it and her mother made it. Buneary loved it. Then, Buneary heard a Chingling. The Chingling then hugged Buneary, Pikachu, Ash and Dawn. Then Francesca came for her Chingling. She then said she was happy that her Chingling was a happy Pokémon, but she was a Pokémon Magician. She then did a magic act making three Chingling appear from a tablecloth, A Pidgey appearing and she was supposed to make a flower appear from her wand, until Chingling spoiled it.
Then, Team Rocket were watching and Jessie suggested to steal the "enchanted" tablecloth until James and Meowth said it was a trick. Meowth and James decided to steal the Chingling. They imagined the Chingling being used as a multi-purpose alarm clock.
They then began to sing like the Chingling. Meowth quoted that the Chingling weren't the only ones who could sing.
Then Francesca did not know what to do with her spoiled Chingling. Then the gang decided to get Chingling to battle.
Francesca never did a Pokémon battle before. So Ash and Dawn did a battle first to see if Chingling could get the hang of it. Gligar ruined Buneary's vest so Dawn deicided to take Buneary's vest off before the battle. Then Brock stopped the battle because he thought Chingling had seen enough. Then Francesca told Chingling to do Astonish. Chingling didn't use Astonish. Turtwig used Razor Leaf and knocked out Chingling.
Team Rocket took Chingling and Ash tried to use Turtwig to cut the strings. It didn't work. Dawn told Buneary to use Ice Beam to cut the ropes. Brock got Happiny to catch Chingling. Then Dawn's Buneary used Bounce to get Happiny in the air. Then Happiny used Pound. Team Rocket burst into song again and Dawn said they were flat. Ash thought Chingling had matured but Chingling did the hugging again. Francesca tried the Three Part Harmony again. Chingling still hugged. Then Team Rocket put in a "Tone Deaf Mecha Chingling" and made a smokescreen and stole the Chingling. They then put them in a line and James took one of them, knowing Chingling evolves into Chimecho. Staravia looked for the Chingling and found them. Ash ooby-trapped Jessie and Meowth with the "Tone Deaf Mecha" smokescreen. Ash attacked them with Chimchar's Flame Wheel. Team Rocket sang ♪We're blasting off in two-part Harmony♪ and Dustox followed them. James was with the spoilt Chingling. He got Mime Jr. to use Teeter Dance and Chingling used Hidden Power and Confusion. Chingling then matured and asked for a hug.
