Applin (Japanese: カジッチュ Kajitchu) is a dual-type Grass/Dragon Pokémon introduced in Generation VIII.
It evolves into Flapple when exposed to a Tart Apple or Appletun when exposed to a Sweet Apple.

Origin
Applin itself appears to be based on a worm, and is also based on the concept of a worm burrowing inside of an apple. Its Dragon typing may be a pun on "wyrm".
Name origin
Applin may a combination of apple and inside.
Kajitchu may be a combination of 齧る kajiru (to gnaw), 果実 kajitsu (fruit), and 虫 chū (bug).
