Gust (Japanese: かぜおこし Stir Up Wind) is a damage-dealing Template:Type2 move introduced in Generation I, though it was a Template:Type2 move in Generation I. Prior to Pokémon Yellow, it was one of the signature moves of the Pidgey evolution line.

Effect

Generation I

In Generation I, this move is Template:Type2. Gust deals damage without a secondary effect.

Generation II to IV

Gust became a Flying-type move in Generation II and kept this status in subsequent generations. Gust does damage and will double the damage on an opponent that is in the first stage of Fly or Bounce.

Generation V

Gust can hit non-adjacent opponents in triple battles.
