Reason: Needs the Black/White trainers

A Maid (Japanese: メイド Maid) is a Generation IV Trainer class, which debuted in Platinum. They are depicted as young women in typical maid servant clothing. They specialize in training Clefairy. Each of them has a different lucky color.

They appear in Platinum in Mr. Backlot's mansion when the player decides to take the 5-Maid Knockout Exact-Turn Attack Challenge. Its objective is to beat all five maids in a certain amount of turns. The prize for winning the challenge is a battle with Lady Celeste or Rich Boy Liam.

In Black and White, they use Pokémon from the Ground Egg Group.

In Hungry for the Good Life!, a maid by the name of Monica worked at Mr. Backlot's mansion. Her overall design is loosely based on the maids found in the games. It should be noted that at the time the episode aired, the Maid Trainer class did not exist yet, and Monica was merely based on the overworld sprites of the maids.

Trivia

  • When defeated, the maids in the 5-Maid Knockout Exact-Turn Attack Challenge all say the same — "You're so strong!" — adding only an additional exclamation mark for each maid defeated.
  • When a maid is battled at the Battle Frontier, she will be shown as a Waitress on Diamond and Pearl and as a maid in Pokémon Platinum.
