According to this article, in the Japanese versions of Pokémon Diamond and Pearl, when Slow Start is removed it doesn't remove the effects of Slow Start. However, as {{u|Chickasaurus}} states in [http://forums.glitchcity.info/index.php?topic=7579.0 this post on Glitch City Labs], this doesn't seem to be the case, as you can see in [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yySX9Umx44Q this video] and [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=w7rGHQSQSyc this video].
