I don't know anything about fixing sprites or anything, so I might be out of line here, but the Crystal regular sprite is still showing Pichu's tail horizontal after it bobs down to the vertical, so it looks like a black T. Also, in its regular Gen II backsprite, the small patch enclosed by its tail and its body isn't transparent.
