This one really seems like something based omre in fact than in speculation.
Not being rude or anything, but a lot of evidence from the ships that are more speculation than fact, the evidence is not nessecarily pointing towards romantic feelings. [[User:Pokemon486|Pokemon486]] 22:18, 5 January 2009 (UTC)
== LagomorphShipping name origin ==
"The name originates from Lagomorpha, the order that rabbits and pikas, Buneary and Pikachu's real-world counterparts, belong to. "
Buneary, yes. But the common idea that Pikachu is based on/named after the {{wp|pika}} doesn't hold much water, in my opinion at least. The name origin section of [[Pikachu (Pokémon)]] currently doesn't list it, and probably correctly. No member of the Pichu evolution line bears any resemblance to a pika, specifically, conceptually or visually (they're mostly mice, but they have some rabbit in them, mostly in the ears) and Pikachu's name origin being (as explained on its page) a combination of the Japanese words for "sparkle" and "squeak" works well enough its own. I know that the name for this ship may be pre-existing, but I just wanted to point this out somewhere. Apparently Pikachu is actually based on a squirrel and later retconned into being a mouse, but a highly stylized one (Pachirisu and Emolga are more obvious squrirrels) and it could still have influences from other rodents and from rabbits. LagomorphShipping name origin
