The Wing Ball can be used to catch Pokémon. It can be thrown farther than a regular Poké Ball and travels quickly in a straight line instead of flying in an arc, allowing the player to catch faraway and flying Pokémon more easily. If used on specific flying encounters (not including regular encounters that happen to be flying), it attempts to catch the Pokémon with a catch rate modifier of 2×. Otherwise, it has a 1.25× modifier.
An improvement on the original Feather Ball design. A ball that flies fast and true—ideal for catching nimble Pokémon or Pokémon that fly high in the air.
