In the core series games

Vinnie serves as the player's opponent in their special Z-A Royale promotion match to Rank F. After completing the main story, he is once again met at Quasartico Inc. headquarters as the attendant for Rogue Mega Evolution Simulator 3000, and tasks the player with defeating a Rogue Mega-Evolved Victreebel, Hawlucha, and Tyranitar as part of Main Mission 41: "The One That Takes", in preparation to face Yveltal.

In Mega Dimension, Vinnie is busy working with the Rust Syndicate to investigate Hyperspace Lumiose. While he is absent at the headquarters, a female Team Flare Nouveau member takes his place as the attendant for Rogue Mega Evolution Simulator 3000.

Vinnie keeps his Pokémon in Ultra Balls and will Mega Evolve his Drampa at the first opportunity.

Trivia

  • While Vinnie (whose name starts with "V") is battled when the player is at Rank V, Vinnie's rank itself is "???" and not Rank V, and his name only starts with V in English and German.
    • Although Vinnie's rank is displayed as "???", it is internally identified in the game's code as Rank G.
  • When defeated, Vinnie reveals he had only just added his Buneary to his team, hence explaining why it has not evolved like with the rest of his party.
