Double Trouble with Dialga and Palkia III (Japanese: VS ディアルガ&パルキアII VS Dialga & Palkia II), titled VS Dialga & Palkia III in the Chuang Yi translation, is the 413th chapter of the Pokémon Adventures manga, and the 76th chapter of the Diamond & Pearl arc. It is subtitled Roar of Time and Spacial Rend (Japanese: "ときのほうこう"と"あくうせつだん" "Roar of Time" and "Subspace Tear") in the VIZ Media translation and Roar of Time and Spatial Rend in the Chuang Yi translation.

Plot

With Diamond on its back, Moo charges toward Dialga, ramming its icy tusks into its chest. Before Diamond and Moo are able to repeat the attack, Palkia raises its arm, and the two suddenly find themselves hurtling into a column. Realizing that Palkia is able to tear through space with its attacks, Pearl sends out Zeller, Digler, and Tauler to join the fight. The three Pokémon do a combination attack that shoves Dialga into Palkia, giving Diamond the opportunity to use a powerful Ice-type move on them both.

Suddenly, time begins to rewind, and Dialga unleashes an attack on the two and their Pokémon, knocking them down. Knowing they have to stop Dialga and Palkia in order to save Sinnoh, Diamond and Pearl try to figure out their next move.

Riding on Cynthia's Garchomp, Platinum calls out to the two from above as they continue their battle. When she descends from Garchomp with Cynthia, they find the Gym Leaders lying in rubble, wounded. Candice calls out to Platinum and gives her a Poké Ball containing a Froslass to help with the fight. Gardenia and Maylene also each give Platinum a Poké Ball, containing a Cherrim and Volkner's Pachirisu respectively.

As Platinum tries to thank them all, Palkia prepares to launch an attack. Candice shoves her out of the way just in time, but the Poké Balls fall loose from Platinum's grasp. Angry, Platinum tries to charge at Palkia, but she and Cynthia are nearly struck by an attack and knocked over. As Platinum hits the ground, she spots a scroll falling from Cynthia's coat. Platinum is able to decipher its ancient writing, reading aloud the phrases "Roar of Time" and "Spacial Rend." Shocked that Platinum can understand it, Cynthia explains that the scroll may have answers about Dialga and Palkia. Platinum realizes that since Cyrus was likely to have read from the scroll, it may explain how to stop the two Legendary Pokémon.

As Platinum becomes determined to decipher the ancient writing, Cynthia realizes that Cyrus is nowhere to be found.
