By creating your account you are now able to edit pages, join discussions, and expand the community-driven Pokémon encyclopedia. Before you jump in, here are some ground rules:

  • Be nice to everyone. It's in the code of conduct.
  • Make good edits. Preview them before you save to make sure they're perfect the first time around.
  • Use wikicode and link templates when adding content to a page.
  • Use proper grammar and spelling, and read the manual of style.
  • You can't create a userpage until you've added to the encyclopedia. It's a privilege. See the userspace policy.
  • Use talk pages to resolve editing disputes. Don't "edit war," or constantly re-edit/undo the same thing on a page.
  • If you have a question about something, be proactive. Take a look at our FAQ. If you're still stuck, ask for help. The staff won't bite.
  • Sign all talk page posts with four tildes (~~~~). This will turn into your name and the time you wrote the comment.
  • For more handy links, see the welcome portal.
Thank you, and have a good time editing here!

Location of the Lift Key

You mentioned here that you're trying to help someone out re: the location of the Lift Key. To get it, you must go to B4F (the lowest floor of the Rocket HQ (Rocket Hideout)) and battle the Rocket there, who can be found at the north-west corner of the room. After you beat him in Yellow he'll drop the Lift Key (in an item ball) immediately. In Red/Blue you have to talk to him again after you've beat him (you may have to walk down if you were playing Red/Blue and you talked to him the on the tile where he drops it for the second time). Thanks. I had most of that information, but I didn't know the drop was immediate in Yellow. That helps, and I appreciate it. :) I'm still hoping that the Lift Key links get fixed, but this is awesome for the short term. :) Zanbabe (talk) 16:41, 15 April 2014 (UTC)
You're welcome. I don't know, there isn't much more to add to it as its own page, but details about the Rocket dropping it could be added. I just can't remember the exact details of whether you have to talk to him again or not in FireRed and LeafGreen. I'll watch a walkthrough later to clarify that. Edit: Ah right, I get what you mean. Yes, maybe it could have its own page to serve as a disambiguation page with links to the lists of key items in Generation I and III. Chickasaurus (talk) 17:30, 15 April 2014 (UTC)
Thanks again. :) Really appreciate your consideration of the idea. Zanbabe (talk) 18:05, 15 April 2014 (UTC)
