Welcome to Bulbapedia, ZW Neo!

Here are a few links to help you get started:

The Manual of Style, or MoS, outlines the format of all pages on Bulbapedia.

All of our administrators are here to help! Talk to them if you have any questions or problems with Bulbapedia.

On talk pages, please sign your comments with four tildes (~~~~), or by using the "Your signature with a timestamp" (button_sig.png) button at the top of the edit window.

The Userspace Policy says that you should keep userspace edits (edits to User:ZW Neo) to a minimum, and outlines a few other guidelines for your userspace.

For a complete list of policies and editing advice, please see the Welcome Portal.
Thank you, and have a good time editing here!

Clever redirection. You can redirect this too if you really wanna. TTEchidna 10:44, 31 January 2010 (UTC)

Holy crap dude! Why not just put the template itself on the page? O_o
Anyways, I don't redirect talk pages. I just don't like it. You should've told me that you were testing interwiki redirects, though. I had no way of knowing :P
And don't you have a bot to put that template up?ZW Neo 10:47, 31 January 2010 (UTC)
Putting the whole template there would absolutely kill the server if it was ever changed (and change it often does). Every user gets a welcome, and every user keeps it (per Bulbapedia's talk page policy, removing comments including the initial welcome is prohibited). Having a bot to do the welcoming was chucked around at one point; I think the outcome was that the new users like the personal touch. At any rate, welcome to Bulbapedia; I hope you stick around. —darklordtrom 11:41, 31 January 2010 (UTC)
Forcing people to keep a welcome is a little ridiculous. No other wiki does that. Besides, I kknow what I'm doing when I edit. I can make people's heads EXPLODE with templates :PZW Neo 18:41, 31 January 2010 (UTC)
Also, we don't allow signature templates around here... Yeah, we do some things differently, I know. But I'm gonna delete that now, and you can just set your signature through your preferences, k? (this is why you need to always have those links in the welcome box, see? ;) ) --electAbuzzzz 19:04, 31 January 2010 (UTC)
That one's completely out there. It makes a LOT more sense to just make a sig template instead of clogging a page with all the coding like I'm seeing right now. It really looks unprofessional, and I much prefer just seeing {{:User:ZW Neo/sig}}. Think about it.
Bleh, but whatever. 's not like I'm trying to be a douche or anything. It just seems a little...stupid to have a ton of crazy coding when a template would simplify it.ZW Neo 01:43, 1 February 2010 (UTC)
Sig templates, when used by users that happen to use talk pages a lot, get included massively. If the user goes and changes their sig template, the server then has to go and update every single inclusion. Sadly, the stress from that can knock the server out cold for a while. Standard signature coding won't do that. - Kogoro | Talk to me - 01:48, 1 February 2010 (UTC)

Wow. Your server sucks worse than ours :/

Seriously. We share a server with Zelda Universe, so we experience tons of problems. We'll just be minding our own business and then all of a sudden find that the server died after spending 2-3 hours editing a page. <-----(Happened to me, before >_<)__Neo(T)(Home) 01:52, 1 February 2010 (UTC)

On the note of signatures, could you switch the external link to Zeldawiki with an interwiki link instead? [[zw:Main Page|(home)]]. The current external link isn't causing an issue, but we do have a rule against external links in signatures (to prevent users advertising all sorts of random stuff); obviously Zeldawiki and Mariowiki are both exceptions to this, but it's just easier on me if I don't have to make a list of exceptions in the policy or anything.
And yes, the signature template ban isn't a norm for most wikis, but you should have seen the ones people were using before the policy was written. Horrifying. =P -- Jïörüjï Ðērākō.>.cнаt^ 20:03, 6 February 2010 (UTC)

Communication

As of right now, I only have an AIM account, but I'd be willing to make others if we would ever need to talk. MaverickNate 02:53, 16 February 2010 (UTC)

Thanks. I got to TTE, though, and that was what I needed. If you'd like the full story, just let me know and I'll hop on AIM.__Neo(T)(Home) 20:56, 16 February 2010 (UTC)
You don't need to. Don't worry about it. Glad to help though. MaverickNate 22:23, 16 February 2010 (UTC)
