You say that the Cosmos holofoil background is the only background that is used from Base 2 until Call of Legends, and that the Cracked Holo background is only used in the Black and White ere. I found two cards in my collection that are from before the Black and White era that instead of having the Cosmos background, they have the Cracked Ice background. They are Suicune 19/132 Secret Wonders, and Rayquaza C 8/147 Supreme Victors. I don't know how I got them, so I couldn't tell you if they were promo cards and that is why their background is different.
