That's all for the moment :) - unsigned comment from Bisounours42 (talkcontribs)

Thanks! I've added these. Just to clarify: Is Aqua Jet a fast move or a special move? I would expect it to be a fast move, but you've indicated it is a special move. --SnorlaxMonster 09:53, 9 July 2016 (UTC)
Aqua jet is the special move, Ice shard is the fast move - unsigned comment from Bisounours42 (talkcontribs)

Pokémon GO Database Website

Not sure if this is a reliable source, but it looks like most Pokémon's move have been identified.

Pokémon Go Database :: Pokédex

I noticed that the Dragonair moveset is missing here, and that this site claims that it's moves are:

# Sprite Pokémon Fast Attacks Special Attacks
148 Dragonair Dragonair Dragon Breath Aqua Tail, Dragon Breath, Hyper Beam, Slam, Twister, Wrap

-- Thanks, Rmkane (talk) 14:22, 13 July 2016 (UTC)

I've come across it before, but I don't trust it. For example, it lists some moves as both Fast and Special Attacks. --SnorlaxMonster 14:35, 13 July 2016 (UTC)

Yeah, I notice that it looks like most of the moves come straight from the TCG / video games, but I have seen people confirming moves on the individual Pokémon's pages. At last there's something to datamine.

e.g. A user claims that Dewgong can have Blizzard as a charge move. ref: Dewgong ( -- Rmkane (talk) 14:46, 13 July 2016 (UTC)

Total Number of Moves

Movie Pilot :: First 'Pokémon GO' Gameplay Details And Screenshots Leaked From Japanese Field Testing

In the link above, the author states that, through datamining the game data, there are a total of "232 separate combat moves, 95 of which are classified as quick moves."

I am assuming we can verify that there are at least 95 Fast Attacks and 137 Special Attacks defined in the game.

-- Thanks, Rmkane (talk) 11:42, 14 July 2016 (UTC)

There was a dump done from the beta, but I'm not relying on it. So far, it seems every Pokémon has 2 Fast Attacks and 3 Special Attacks (unless it has Splash or Struggle, in which case it can have fewer). Once we've filled that many out for each Pokémon, I'll be comfortable that this list is complete. --SnorlaxMonster 13:18, 14 July 2016 (UTC)

More Moves

Here are some more moves that I datamined from the comments.

# Sprite Name Fast Attacks Special Attacks References
026 Raichu Raichu Spark Thunder PokémonGoDb :: Raichu :: comments
064 Kadabra Kadabra - Shadow Ball PokémonGoDb :: Kadabra :: comments
087 Dewgong Dewgong Ice Shard Blizzard PokémonGoDb :: Dewgong :: comments
112 Rhydon Rhydon Mud-Slap Horn Attack PokémonGoDb :: Rhydon :: comments
138 Omanyte Omanyte Rock Tomb - PokémonGoDb :: Omanyte :: comments

-- Rmkane (talk) 12:42, 15 July 2016 (UTC)

Update: Apparently Rock Tomb is not a valid move, yet other players have "confirmed" it is. The game files show that this is not the case. -- Rmkane (talk) 04:48, 17 July 2016 (UTC)

Mixed up moves, fixed now! -- Rmkane (talk) 04:56, 17 July 2016 (UTC)

Yeah, I saw you link to that elsewhere, and was actually just working on converting these to the format of this page. Thanks. --SnorlaxMonster 05:33, 17 July 2016 (UTC)

Full List of Quick Attacks

Here is the complete and final list of quick attacks. I generated the table data by using a lookup function with the list of moves by ID; as defined for each Pokémon.

Here is the spreadsheet data. Press Show to see the table below. It includes every Pokémon's quick attacks.

Special Attacks Source

Where did you find the special attacks for each Pokémon? I did not see that data in the data dump? WHich source did you use? Am I missing something? Mew has quite the number of special attacks!

-- Thanks, Rmkane (talk) 06:43, 17 July 2016 (UTC)

At this link here, the columns QuickMoves and CinematicMoves correspond to Fast Attacks and Special Attacks respectively. Each pair of characters corresponds to the ID of a move (in hexadecimal). The IDs for each move are located here (although not in the most accessible format, so I had to do some manipulation to get a nice dictionary). --SnorlaxMonster 06:49, 17 July 2016 (UTC)

Cool, I created a data table with all the moves. The table is generated dynamically each time it is loaded using a move lookup from the hex value (as you suggested). -- Rmkane (talk) 08:01, 17 July 2016 (UTC)

Interactive learnset grid

I am currently undergoing the task of converting this wiki's purpose into an interactive grid. I will eventually convert this into a full-fledged GitHub project.

You can view it here

I will be adding addition features/options in the near future. I will also add a shiny filter (auxiliary spritesheet). If you have any suggestions, that would be appreciated. — Rmkane (talk) 17:29, 1 March 2017 (UTC)
