Welcome to Bulbapedia, MindOfSableye!

By creating your account you are now able to edit pages, join discussions, and expand the community-driven Pokémon encyclopedia. Before you jump in, here are some ground rules:

  • Be nice to everyone. It's in the code of conduct.
  • Make good edits. Preview them before you save to make sure they're perfect the first time around.
  • Use wikicode and link templates when adding content to a page.
  • Use proper grammar and spelling, and read the manual of style.
  • You can't create a userpage until you've added to the encyclopedia. It's a privilege. See the userspace policy.
  • Use talk pages to resolve editing disputes. Don't "edit war," or constantly re-edit/undo the same thing on a page.
  • If you have a question about something, be proactive. Take a look at our FAQ. If you're still stuck, ask for help. The staff won't bite.
  • Sign all talk page posts with four tildes (~~~~). This will turn into your name and the time you wrote the comment.
  • For more handy links, see the welcome portal.
Thank you, and have a good time editing here!

Userspace edits

Hey! You need to trim down the daily edits you make to your profile significantly. Those count as userspace edits and your ability to make such edits is strictly limited by site guidelines. You could receive a block for spending too much time in the userspace. Thank you. GrammarFreak01 (talk) 04:28, 19 September 2019 (UTC)

Okay, I’ll keep it to a minimum. It’s hard to find User Boxes. MindOfSableye (talk) 11:49, 19 September 2019 (UTC)
There's no need to focus yourself on user boxes. You're required to primarily focus on the mainspace (i.e. articles on Pokémon, Trainers, battle mechanics, items, etc.). GrammarFreak01 (talk) 02:24, 20 September 2019 (UTC)

The Preview Button

Hey! Please be sure to use the preview button at the bottom left of your editing screen. It will allow you to preview your edits before you submit them. You left a space in-between bullet points. GrammarFreak01 (talk) 05:02, 24 September 2019 (UTC)

Table customization

Be careful when customizing a table for your userpage, as you don't want to add anything to Special:WantedPages that is not actually wanted. I undid your edit for that reason. Mr. Daikon (talk) 05:39, 6 July 2020 (UTC)

Generation-present

We normally display the headers as Generation X onward, not Generation X-present. There's no need to change them to the latter. --SnorlaxMonster 03:55, 9 August 2020 (UTC)

I don’t care. I’ve had the “present” part in some of the Pokémon’s articles since they had stat changes in Generation VII and VIII and it’s been there for a while and I love it that way. Like yeah, onward is fine but in every generation is boring. MindOfSableye (talk) 03:59, 9 August 2020 (UTC)
There should be consistency among headers. We don't want to use Generation X onward for some headers and Generation X-present for others. It doesn't matter if you find consistency to be "boring". --SnorlaxMonster 04:11, 9 August 2020 (UTC)
Well it usually depends on the person’s opinion and what other people think too. MindOfSableye (talk) 04:13, 9 August 2020 (UTC)
"Generation [X]-present" is a hack to replace "Generation [X]-Generation [X+n]". "Generation [X] onward" is more natural and works better. Those headers should not be changed. Tiddlywinks (talk) 12:53, 10 August 2020 (UTC)
It's not an opinion. It's a style. And our style is strictly "Generation [X] onward".--ForceFire 14:10, 10 August 2020 (UTC)
Well change is good. And I love to see something different for once. MindOfSableye (talk) 14:11, 10 August 2020 (UTC)
We're not changing what isn't broke.--ForceFire 14:13, 10 August 2020 (UTC)
As SnorlaxMonster said, Bulbapedia should have consistency. Having something different "for once" simply looks lazy and unprofessional. You'll have to look other places for your spice of variety. Tiddlywinks (talk) 23:45, 10 August 2020 (UTC)
Like Wikipedia? Or making a sandbox user page? MindOfSableye (talk) 23:47, 10 August 2020 (UTC)
Whatever floats your boat, friend. If you want to play in the userspace, do keep our userspace policy in mind, though. Tiddlywinks (talk) 23:50, 10 August 2020 (UTC)
Okay. I do have a Wikipedia account but I don’t usually add stuff in my sandbox unless I’m bored. MindOfSableye (talk) 23:53, 10 August 2020 (UTC)

(resetting indent)Just so you are aware, this only applies to move articles, not everywhere else.--ForceFire 05:27, 17 October 2020 (UTC)
