The reason it's not mainspace is because it's based on personal beliefs. There are many that stand midway. There are multiple for instance. Staryu/Starmie could be Misty. Speaking of which, I should get rid of that template from my subpage. ht14 03:16, 9 March 2010 (UTC)
I would just like to note that each Pokémon that could be considered to be signature Pokémon in game, are usually strategically placed last in a character's party, and as far as Gym Leaders go, the Pokémon World Tournament uses all of their Pokémon first in it's set up (they don't always use them first but they are the first one's listed). I think this should be in mainspace because it is canon not just personal belief. The anime (now with the invention of "premium brand" Pokémon) can now also be probably shown for having signature Pokémon. Trotz59 (talk) 05:11, 7 July 2013 (UTC)
Signature Pokémon could be characterized by highest level, most used, strongest bond with, or typically first Pokémon in general.
