Welcome to Bulbapedia, Lan!

As a new user, you may wish to learn a few things that will be useful in your editing:

  • For a basic overview of wiki code, see this page.
  • The manual of style is very important. Make sure to read it. It outlines all official policies of Bulbapedia.
  • The word Pokémon is spelled with a capital P and an accented é. The P, of course, is accessed easily by holding Shift and pressing the P key, while the é can be accessed using Alt + 130 or Alt + 0233 on a Windows computer, and Option + e, then e again on a Mac. Otherwise, you can click it in the character palette below the editbox.
  • On talk pages, please sign your comments with four tildes (~~~~).
  • The use of link templates is official policy. For an explanation on their use, see the page on shortlinks.
  • If you happen to spot a vandal in the recent changes that has not been dealt with, please see this page for how to deal with it.
  • A list of pages that are linked to, but have not been created, can be found at this page. A list of short articles that may require more information can be found here, while a list of articles that need improvement can be found here.
  • A list of the admins that you can contact if there is a problem can be found here.

Thank you, and have a good time editing here!PokeManiac102 17:38, 5 January 2008 (UTC)

To just ask someone for no apparent reason.PokeManiac102 19:27, 6 January 2008 (UTC)

No, it's okay. I've got Pokémon Diamond, Emerald, Sapphire, Ruby, FireRed, Colosseum, Silver, and Red. I also had Blue and Yellow at one point. --Lan 19:32, 6 January 2008 (UTC)

I have: Pearl, Emerald, Crystal and Yellow --DarthCookieMonster 19:42, 6 January 2008 (UTC)

Let's see. Right now, I'm looking for Lugia and Celebi. I only want legit Pokémon. I have no interest in hacks. If you have either of those, let me know, and what you'd like. Hopefully we can work something out. --Lan 19:53, 6 January 2008 (UTC)

Sorry, those are WAY out of my range. Anything nonlegendary? --DarthCookieMonster 19:55, 6 January 2008 (UTC)

Sorry, not really. I'll let you know if anything comes up, though. Thanks. --Lan 20:00, 6 January 2008 (UTC)

Magikarp and Feebas have very similar stats, which is understandable, since they seem related.

Dude, is that seriously really needed??? --Theryguy512 23:09, 7 January 2008 (UTC)

No, I guess not. Sorry.--Lan 18:22, 7 January 2008 (UTC)

Trade

Would you like to trade for a shiny smeargle? if so, what would you give me in return? --DarthCookieMonster 01:06, 10 January 2008 (UTC)

Linking

Don't just copy/paste from the URL bar. Sure, it helps, but then it's really crappy-looking when you hit [edit]. List of Pokémon by base stats. TTEchidnaGSDS! 01:30, 10 January 2008 (UTC)

Link Templates

Please use link templates when linking to stuff such as Pokémon names, attacks, and the like. For example, {{p|Ditto}} instead of just [[Ditto]]. This is so you don't unintentionally link to a disambiguation page.

For a full crash course on link templates, look at the list of link templates. --Shiningpikablu252 20:04, 11 September 2008 (UTC)

Hi

I noticed you have been editing the User: namespace a lot today. You may not be aware of this, but Bulbapedia has a Userspace policy that asks users to try and minimize the number of userspace edits they make in a short period of time. Instead of making multiple edits, why not use the Preview button (Alt + Shift + P) located right next to the edit button to look at your page and see how it is coming? That way, your page can look great while staying within the required amount of edits. Instead of editing the userspace, as a wiki, we encourage users to edit the mainspace. So, if you edit the mainspace more often, you will be allowed to edit the userspace more. Thanks! ---- MAGNEDETH 05:15, 9 March 2009 (UTC)
