While it is technically policy to leave image changes to administrators, the reason I reverted you just now is because the image you put in was blurry. Nothing wrong with the current screenshot. —darklordtrom 10:16, 27 July 2009 (UTC)
The current screenshot is completely messy, though--it was clearly saved as a jpeg initially, and as such has a LOT of noise on it. On bulbapedia, sscreenshots from the Pocket Monsters anime are supposed to be saved as PNG's, right? The current image may be saved as one now, but the reason that policy is in place is so images are not saved as jpegs in the first place. Even when you save snips from DVDs on a computer DVD player in PNG's, they're still noise-covered unless you view the DVD in 50% mode, which is what I did. It looks a bit blurry, but that's the only way to get the noise off, and as far as I know, the general opinion about noise on a 2D image is that it ruins the image. Besides, my image is hardly that blurry, anyways. Kamikarasu

Please link your username as Kamikarasu or Kamikarasu, NOT as Kamikarasu. Doing it the last way will add your username to our wanted pages, which is something that's highly frowned upon. --Shiningpikablu252 14:41, 28 July 2009 (UTC)
Thank you! I know how to link it when I reply to comments now, but how do I link it otherwise?
- Just as was explained above. BTW, write ~~~~ after your talk comments, or click to automatically sign your name. —darklordtrom 00:03, 31 July 2009 (UTC)
Let's see here... --Kamikarasu 01:28, 31 July 2009 (UTC)
But why does it link to my page as opposed to my "My Talk" page?
- Because that's how it's automatically configured. If you want to change it to make it link to your talk page, go to your preferences, check the sig box and type in
Kamikarasu
. That should sort it for you. —darklordtrom 01:30, 31 July 2009 (UTC)
Hi
I noticed you have been editing the User:
namespace quite a bit today. You may not be aware of this, but Bulbapedia has a userspace policy that asks users to try and minimize the number of userspace edits they make. Instead of making multiple edits per day, why not use the preview button (also possible by using Alt + Shift + P on your keyboard) located right next to the edit button to look at your page and see how it is coming? That way, your page can look great while keeping your number of userspace edits low. Instead of editing the userspace, as a wiki, we encourage users to edit the mainspace. So, if you edit the mainspace more often, you will be allowed to edit the userspace more. Thanks! - Kogoro | Talk to me - 09:04, 2 August 2009 (UTC)
I've actually been using the preview button ALOT. Problem is, I've also made many individual, different edits concerning different user templates; since I don't know what to type in for each template, I've been finding, one by one, what to type in for each user template. But for each individual template, I ALWAYS preview my edits until I'm sure I've got it right. Sorry for the inconvenience! Once I start to memorize what to type in for each template, this shouldn't happen as much, as by that point I'd be able to put in multiple templates in only one edit.
But... how do I edit my userpage in the mainspace as opposed to the userspace? I can' t find the link to the mainspace. --Kamikarasu 09:14, 2 August 2009 (UTC)
- Oi... Instead of adding them one at a time, why not go to the user tags category, find all that you want, and add them all at once? If needed, add one at a time through previews, and then when they're all up and looking right then save?
- You... Can't. Your userpage is in the userspace, because that is where userpages go. Userspace means any page starting with "
User:
" just like this is theUser talk:
namespace (or usertalkspace, as you could call it...) the mainspace is any page that does not have a prefix such as "Template:
" "User:
" "Bulbapedia:
" "Talk:
" just to name a few. Anyways, take a rest on the userpage edits for now, and work on some more content articles. Thanks, - Kogoro | Talk to me - 09:39, 2 August 2009 (UTC)
Oh, thanks, I get it. I thought that you meant that the mainspace could be used to edit the userspace more without it showing up on the Edit History. And thanks for giving me the location of the all the user templates—I've been looking everywhere for those, but to no avail.
I've been editing the mainspace all day, I just thought I'd take a break since all of my contributions seem to be mindlessly deleted unless I make them so subtle that people don't think I'm trying to say anything new, or people just don't notice that a NEWCOMER TO THE SITE just posted something. (Sorry, that was a rant; moving on from my frustration now!)
Anyways, this probably will come off as a stupid question, but when you said that editing the mainspace more will allow me to edit the userspace more, do you mean that when I make a certain amount of edits to the mainspace, the site automatically stops counting consecutive edits I make to my userspace? Or do you just mean that people will be more understanding?
One more thing—if you were trying to speak Yiddish, it's spelled 'oy', not 'oi'.Kamikarasu 09:57, 2 August 2009 (UTC)
- If your edits are being reverted, it's probably because other editors didn't feel that it belonged, possibly for lack of notability, already being mentioned in the article, or many other reasons. Not because you're a newer user.
- The site keeps history of every edit made, but users will usually be more lenient when you're editing the mainspace a lot. However, most that edit it a lot don't edit the userspace much either.
- The "Oi" was just meant as a "noise" so to speak. Haha. - Kogoro | Talk to me - 10:07, 2 August 2009 (UTC)
It does seem like there have been a few unjustified reversions to my edits, but I guess I'm overreacting, as there are MANY people editing Bulbapedia every minute.
Oh, okay. Though, hopefully, now that I know where to find all the templates, this won't be a problem.
Oh, haha.
By the way, when I click on link to the 'stubs' page on the front page of the site, the page that it brings me to doesn't have a list of stubs; also, when I type in 'stubs' in the searchbox, only about 5 articles that are stubs come up. I want to add to some stubs, but where is the grand list of them? --Kamikarasu 10:19, 2 August 2009 (UTC)
- Here you go. Have fun :D —darklordtrom 10:28, 2 August 2009 (UTC)
Thanks!
...Crap! That's a lot... Better get started! --Kamikarasu 10:30, 2 August 2009 (UTC)
