Welcome to Bulbapedia, Herbizarre!

By creating your account you are now able to edit pages, join discussions, and expand the community-driven Pokémon encyclopedia. Before you jump in, here are some ground rules:

  • Be nice to everyone. It's in the code of conduct.
  • Make good edits. Preview them before you save to make sure they're perfect the first time around.
  • Use wikicode and link templates when adding content to a page.
  • Use proper grammar and spelling, and read the manual of style.
  • You can't create a userpage until you've added to the encyclopedia. It's a privilege. See the userspace policy.
  • Use talk pages to resolve editing disputes. Don't "edit war," or constantly re-edit/undo the same thing on a page.
  • If you have a question about something, be proactive. Take a look at our FAQ. If you're still stuck, ask for help. The staff won't bite.
  • Sign all talk page posts with four tildes (~~~~). This will turn into your name and the time you wrote the comment.
  • For more handy links, see the welcome portal.
Thank you, and have a good time editing here!

Origins

Please do not use definite wording (X is based off, X is likely based off) unless you have an official source to back up your claim. Otherwise use terms like "may be" instead, regardless of how obvious the origin is. Thank you.--ForceFire 05:32, 16 December 2019 (UTC)

Also, keep the sections confined to information on the species only, not generalize it like you did with the Galar Fossils Pokémon. GrammarFreak01 (talk) 08:38, 16 December 2019 (UTC)

Copyrighted characters

Please don't add copyrighted characters as possible origins for Pokemon, unless there is official confirmation that it is the case. Thank you.--ForceFire 05:33, 20 December 2019 (UTC)

Linking

A few things about linking

  1. If something has been linked once in a section, it does not need to be linked again.
  2. Not every word needs to be linked. Everyone knows what a hero is and everyone knows what a dragon is. Linking in the origin sections should only be for things that a common person wouldn't have knowledge on.
  3. Don't link like this: {{wp|Parental care|parental care}}. The second parser isn't needed. The link will still go to the intended article regardless of the first word not being capitalized.
  4. To link plurals, just add an s to the end of the template, like this: {{wp|amphibian}}s. That should turn out like this: amphibians.

Thank you.--ForceFire 04:19, 22 December 2019 (UTC)
