Archiving

Please review the talk page policy's information on archiving user talk pages. Copying your talk page is not the proper way. Tiddlywinks (talk) 12:12, 17 June 2018 (UTC)

Sorry. I didn't know it was supposed to be done that way. GrammarFreak01 (talk) 19:01, 17 June 2018 (UTC)

Erica124

Hi again. I see that you are still attempting to tell Erica124 about the wrongs they are doing on Bulbapedia. However, I believe that you are wasting your time since they're not responding to your comments and are ignoring you. After seeing ForceFire's replies, I honestly think you should just leave her to the staff now since while I do praise you for attempting to stop it, your messages aren't working since they are being ignored. This isn't your fault but I think you really don't have to stop them. I would be grateful if you could reply on this matter. Thank You!! (This comment was originally on your Archive Page but was moves) Ice Cream 09:32, 26 June 2018 (UTC)

Well, what are they going to do? She's managed to circumvent another ban by not editing frequently, as Force Fire informed me. GrammarFreak01 (talk) 09:39, 26 June 2018 (UTC)
They're clearly not looking at their talk page. This means that your comments are proving to be pointless. So just to save you the hassle, since only ForceFire and other staff can deal with them, your comments (which I'm certainly not saying you shouldn't do) are not making an impact. Some people refuse to listen, regardless of persuasion. Ice Cream 09:46, 26 June 2018 (UTC)
What else am I supposed to do? GrammarFreak01 (talk) 15:56, 26 June 2018 (UTC)
I would suggest to not do anything. The more you go on about them, the less likely ForceFire will stop them. You'll just be annoying ForceFire with the repetitive comments, so I would suggest to do nothing (It doesn't leave a good impression) and let ForceFire deal with them. Don't worry, justice will be brought to them eventually. Ice Cream 17:57, 26 June 2018 (UTC)

Empty sections

Please do not add empty "Errors" sections to manga pages like here.

I'd like to also ask why you thought those empty sections should be added? Tiddlywinks (talk) 19:25, 1 July 2018 (UTC)

I remember a while back that I was removing empty sections from anime episodes, only for those edits to be undone and for me to be warned that these sections should remain. I think it was along those lines, but I don't remember the exact details of the conversation anymore and I couldn't find the discussion on my archived talk page. Anyway, after that, I even added empty section headers to several anime episode articles and those edits weren't undone, so I thought it was okay. GrammarFreak01 (talk) 19:29, 1 July 2018 (UTC)
Well, with that little information I don't know what to tell you. Except that it's not really hurting anything even if some pages have errors and some don't. Adding it is just busywork and doesn't especially improve anything. You don't need to fuss about things like that that aren't crucial. Tiddlywinks (talk) 19:57, 1 July 2018 (UTC)
If you insist. But by that logic, wouldn't the Trivia sections go as well? I notice they weren't deleted by you and Ht14 during the mass deletion. Is there supposed to be something special about them? GrammarFreak01 (talk) 19:59, 1 July 2018 (UTC)
We weren't focusing on it. It's not worth editing pages either just to change that part either way. Tiddlywinks (talk) 20:03, 1 July 2018 (UTC)
Alright, then... GrammarFreak01 (talk) 20:03, 1 July 2018 (UTC)

Editing

Hey GrammarFreak01! I was wondering if you would be interested in helping out at the Archives. See, there's a lot that needs to be organized - if you're interested, let me know here. ht14 19:49, 1 July 2018 (UTC)

My apologies, but what are the Archives? GrammarFreak01 (talk) 19:50, 1 July 2018 (UTC)
The Archives is the image repository for Bulbagarden (which includes Bulbapedia). ht14 19:51, 1 July 2018 (UTC)
Image repository, huh? Well, it depends. What exactly am I organizing? Just stuff in general? I'm not sure if I know what I'll be doing... GrammarFreak01 (talk) 19:52, 1 July 2018 (UTC)
Here you'll be adding categories to files - the intent is that someone searching for a specific image will be able to do so by navigating through categories. If you're curious to see how it looks like, navigate to the homepage and click on Archives (there's a grey bulb on it). ht14 19:56, 1 July 2018 (UTC)
Okay, I'll check it out and get back to you. GrammarFreak01 (talk) 19:57, 1 July 2018 (UTC)

Welcoming users

Hello, I see that you're welcoming users who last contributed anywhere from four years ago to nearly 11 years ago! Honestly, that's not necessary. Please only welcome users who have been recently contributing, thanks! ht14 21:45, 3 July 2018 (UTC)

Sorry, I was a little bored and didn't know what to do at the time. GrammarFreak01 (talk) 21:45, 3 July 2018 (UTC)
That is not acceptable - there are many other things to do at the wiki. If you don't know what to edit, take a break and come back to it later. ht14 21:46, 3 July 2018 (UTC)
Sorry, I'm trying to do something. GrammarFreak01 (talk) 21:47, 3 July 2018 (UTC)

Edit quality

Please remember to make quality edits when editing a page. Don't look for something to edit on a page just because you're there.

  • Adding spaces that are absolutely unnoticeable...is not a quality edit, certainly not when that's the ONLY thing you do.
  • Tweaking image sizes is also a type of edit you've been told to not do before. You've been doing this quite a bit at least recently. I'm giving you a reminder this time, but if you pick up the habit again, we may take other action.

Please remember: quality over quantity. If there's nothing worthwhile, leave it, don't push it. Tiddlywinks (talk) 22:25, 4 July 2018 (UTC)

Fine. >:( GrammarFreak01 (talk) 03:14, 5 July 2018 (UTC)

...This sort of thing is, once again, not a quality edit. It is, in fact, a very pointless edit that changes absolutely nothing.

If that is all you have to do on a page... DON'T.

I'm confused how that's so difficult a concept to grasp. If there's nothing that needs changing, leave it be. You've been told about this before, and—again—it shouldn't be difficult. I'm becoming tempted to turn to a block if you keep failing to grasp it, in order to make the point better. Tiddlywinks (talk) 18:50, 18 July 2018 (UTC)

...Um...it's pointless code. It should be removed. GrammarFreak01 (talk) 18:52, 18 July 2018 (UTC)
It changes nothing about the page's appearance. "Do. Not. Make. Pointless. Edits." We've been through exactly this issue before. Please absorb it. Tiddlywinks (talk) 18:57, 18 July 2018 (UTC)
You're making this really hard for me. If it changes nothing about the page's appearance, why is it there in the first place? It's like a vandal edit; it's useless and therefore should be removed. GrammarFreak01 (talk) 18:59, 18 July 2018 (UTC)
It's not important why it's there in the first place. What's at issue is your edits.
Leave it alone if that's all you have to do on a page. This isn't that hard. Tiddlywinks (talk) 19:07, 18 July 2018 (UTC)
Let's see what Abcboy says about it. GrammarFreak01 (talk) 21:48, 18 July 2018 (UTC)

Edit Stalking

Dear GrammarFreak01,

Understand that none of your actions are exactly covert. It is very apparent that you are stalking my edits and have been for an extended period of time. While I have requested that you stop, I am again telling you to stop. I don't like your obsession with having the current revision of a page, as noted before the pages you are editing had issues long before I bothered to look at them. You clearly have time on your hands and there are many other episode and anime based pages that require attention. If you wish to assist then that is great, but follow your own course as I've seen the pages you have edited, you are literally moving information around to achieve the latest edit. You have been warned about these kind of edits multiple times before, by myself and other users, yet you continue to ignore the warnings make pointless edits that don't really add anything to a page. The incessant comments on my user page feels like beratement and I feel that you undermine anything I do, so please do not continue such conduct.PardescanSlowbro (talk) 02:49, 24 July 2018 (UTC)

Care to give examples where my edits were absolutely unnecessary and done with malicious intent against you? As far as I'm concerned, you're still repeating a number of the same mistakes that I warned you about before, and that's what I've been rectifying. GrammarFreak01 (talk) 03:35, 24 July 2018 (UTC)
After the discussion you and Mikuri had, and following on Tiddlywinks latest warnings surely you would realize your actions cannot continue. In Mossdeep City's case you literally deleted links, and in other cases like the latest on Hau'oli City you added minor words that make little difference. All of the episode plot pages up to EP139 have been altered by you, and in most cases because I edited the plots first when they were problematic to begin with. I stopped editing the plots because of your editing. I re-watched the episodes and that's how I picked up the details I am adding to the pages I have edited, because the information we have written in the unedited plots is in some cases hard to follow and omits the details, and in some cases is completely wrong.
Our focuses are very different, I enjoy adding detail to areas which require it, while you enjoy editing. But our goals are the same, to ensure a franchise that we both have personal sentiments for is perfectly described and investigated. Given your ability to write, I and others would prefer to see you add information because at least it would be to your liking and hopefully grammatically correct, plus we can collaborate and not step on each other's toes.
Adding and writing up entire sections is a difficult task, and most times you aren't going to get it completely right. But having someone just come through and making minor edits immediately after takes the shine off of that work. There are plenty of the older pages that could use a freshen up and are missing information. Would you be prepared to help with that task and collaborate with other users like myself, maybe MIkuri and other users who regularly contribute to the anime pages?PardescanSlowbro (talk) 06:21, 24 October 2018 (UTC)

Userspage?

This is not a piece of criticism or request, but I've just been wondering if you've ever considered creating your own userspage? It'd honestly be nice to know more about you, especially since you've been here for a good while now. Could you even consider doing it at some point? --FinnishPokéFan92 (talk) 05:48, 24 July 2018 (UTC)

Is it a requirement? I noticed Playerking95 has been here longer than me and he doesn't have a userpage. Either way, I'll think about it, but I can't imagine making it stand out. GrammarFreak01 (talk) 05:55, 24 July 2018 (UTC)
It isn't a requirement, per say, but most users who have been here for multiple years tend to have their own userpages. And if you do end up creating one, it doesn't have to stand out. All that matters is that you yourself are satisfied with it. --FinnishPokéFan92 (talk) 06:10, 24 July 2018 (UTC)
Well, I'll still think about it. GrammarFreak01 (talk) 06:12, 24 July 2018 (UTC)

SM083 synopsis

I'm sorry. I had been editing the episode synopsis on SM083 simultaneously with you, and I, the stubborn person I sometimes am, refused to let my efforts go unnoticed, so I overwrote your edit with my own. Feel free to make any edits you feel are necessary now. --FinnishPokéFan92 (talk) 08:42, 28 July 2018 (UTC)

It's alright. Don't worry about it. It was actually PardescanSlowbro who was trying to do all the heavy lifting, so maybe you should notify him. GrammarFreak01 (talk) 08:43, 28 July 2018 (UTC)
Actually, I was going to do just that in my edit summary, pointing out that not ALL synopsises need a complete rewrite, but then your edit happened and I was thrown into a loop. I'm not good at adapting to sudden changes, you see. But yeah. If you still see anything fix-worthy on the page, feel free to fix it. Although I doubt there'll be a bit less of that now that I've already gone over it once. And double yeah, I think I'll notify PS at some point. --FinnishPokéFan92 (talk) 08:55, 28 July 2018 (UTC)
Well, there probably was something in there that needed a rewrite. But I digress. GrammarFreak01 (talk) 09:10, 28 July 2018 (UTC)

Asked me to contact you

Hey you asked me to contact you regarding Save data structure in Generation I page Junebug12851 (talk) 15:47, 28 July 2018 (UTC)

No, I didn't. I just welcomed you. Unless you have a question for me, which in this case I am unable to provide a good answer for you because I have absolutely no inkling about save data structure. GrammarFreak01 (talk) 19:13, 28 July 2018 (UTC)
Ah sorry, thanks then ^_^ Junebug12851 (talk) 19:31, 28 July 2018 (UTC)
You're welcome. GrammarFreak01 (talk) 19:32, 28 July 2018 (UTC)

What did I do wrong?

GrammarFreak01, I just got your message. Would it be alright if I ask what I did wrong? All I did was edit a page, and I fixed grammar issues. The last thing I want to do is corrupt a page, and I don't feel like I did. I also think your message came out a little harsh, I'm a new user, and I read all the rules and regulations. I love this wiki, and all I want to do is improve it I'm a very hard worker, and I read the entire article, just fixing grammar problems while following the Bulbapedia rules. I looked at the page after my edits. I did not see anything wrong with the page. I worked really hard on the editing, and it hurt me when you said it was "absolutely incorrect, and that it messed up the article". Also what do you mean "Don't go around changing them." I didn't change anything on the page, I edited, which was specifically stated from you "Have fun editing here" I looked at my changes after, and I didn't see the article messed up. It was the exact same, besides my grammar changes, but the page is the same. All I'm asking for is for you to specifically say what was wrong. Please Don't just say that it was wrong, and the page was different. PLEASE BE SPECIFIC. I hope I didn't come out harsh, that's not who I am, but working 2 plus hours reading, and helping edit the page, and your comment hurt my feelings.

(FitzSimmons5423 (talk) 23:46, 29 July 2018 (UTC))

Ash's Pikachu

You need to know that you should not delete the incomplete notice that I put on that page again. The gallery is for images of every impression and that was one of them. Deleting something important is vandalism. Playerking95 (talk) 09:04, 30 July 2018 (UTC)

I apologize for that. I was actually trying to undo someone else's edits because they inserted nonexistent or incorrect templates to another section of the article. I don't know how your edit was also included, but I really do apologize for that. I wasn't trying to vandalize the article or anything. Also, I apologize for taking this long to respond; I was out on a family vacation for a few days. I hope you didn't interpret my delay in responding as something malicious. GrammarFreak01 (talk) 20:26, 3 August 2018 (UTC)

Thanks

I have to admit Grammar and spelling isn't my cup of tea so appreciate you changing things I write so it makes more sense.--BigDocFan (talk) 15:13, 9 August 2018 (UTC)

You're welcome. :) GrammarFreak01 (talk) 15:14, 9 August 2018 (UTC)

Removing episode lists of Japanese Voice Actor and Actress?

Hello, I want to ask you. Why you erase all the episode article that I have put it specially that the characters that the voice actor and actress had voiced? Is it an offends or unnecessary If so, please reply back, Thank you. Singaporean (talk) 13:02, 12 August 2018 (UTC)

I know you're asking GrammarFreak01 but personally I feel there it little point, if the voice actor voiced the character in every single episode, its not needed.--BigDocFan (talk) 14:01, 12 August 2018 (UTC)
Adding onto that, the same goes for movies. Episodes and movies only get listed on the right side of a human if the human's title is something generic like "Announcer". As for Pokemon, seeing as multiple Pokemon of the same species appear numerous times with different voice actors, they have episodes listed next to them to distinguish which Pokemon from episode that voice actor voiced. If a Pokemon only appeared once in the anime, then I guess it doesn't need an episode or movie code next to it, because only one person voices it. Playerking95 (talk) 14:47, 12 August 2018 (UTC)
What they said. GrammarFreak01 (talk) 20:37, 12 August 2018 (UTC)

Hey

Sorry about all the trouble I cause by create VA pages, just noticed that before, you create new ones though me and another member had already made them. Do you have plans on doing one for Rosie Reyes?--BigDocFan (talk) 21:14, 19 August 2018 (UTC)

It's alright. I do apologize for my increasingly agitated attitude about it as well, but I do get that way whenever it feels like my comments or advice are being ignored. Anyway, I do not have any plans for that article because I checked her filmography a short while back and it looks like she hasn't done anything outside of the Pokémon anime. Therefore, her article would've looked pathetically short and I want to avoid making VA articles like that. GrammarFreak01 (talk) 21:18, 19 August 2018 (UTC)
Eddy Lee certainly looks worthy of one in the near future, think I'll leave the VA pages to you from now one.--BigDocFan (talk) 21:20, 19 August 2018 (UTC)
It's okay, you can work on the VA pages too. I don't want to feel like I'm hogging the task of creating all the English VA articles and barring others from doing so through perceived intimidation. I just expect the work to be a bit more complete compared to what you were doing before, and for the articles to adhere to the basic rules that were laid out by Bulbapedia:Project VA. It does bug me if it feels like there are some obvious holes to fill. You get my drift? GrammarFreak01 (talk) 21:27, 19 August 2018 (UTC)
Best thing I can do with the VA pages is add what roles they voice when Lisa Ortiz gets round to sending the cast lists which will hopefully be soon when she isn't so busy.--BigDocFan (talk) 21:38, 19 August 2018 (UTC)
Okay, I guess that sounds reasonable. GrammarFreak01 (talk) 21:44, 19 August 2018 (UTC)
Any plans on giving Robby Duncan Sharpe a page, he seems worthy of one. https://myanimelist.net/people/11040/Robby_Sharpe--BigDocFan (talk) 08:50, 20 August 2018 (UTC)
Yep, he looks good to me. :) GrammarFreak01 (talk) 19:09, 20 August 2018 (UTC)
No doubt the page was better than most of my other pages to begin with.--BigDocFan (talk) 16:11, 22 August 2018 (UTC)
You still forgot a category, though. GrammarFreak01 (talk) 16:13, 22 August 2018 (UTC)

Capture

FYI you don't need to change "capture" to "catch". Both words are used with decent frequency in the games. Tiddlywinks (talk) 08:34, 24 August 2018 (UTC)

I was under the impression that "capture" is for the Pokémon Ranger games and "catch/caught" is for the core series games. I recall someone else being insistent on that terminology. GrammarFreak01 (talk) 23:50, 24 August 2018 (UTC)

Hey

Spoke to abcboy about possible mainspace articles, was wondering if you could provide a bit more assistance with User:BigDocFan/Oranguru (anime) when you get a chance. Abcboy's words were Oranguru generally seems good, but you should proofread History and re-write the second paragraph there; it's a bit rough.--BigDocFan (talk) 19:31, 25 August 2018 (UTC)

Hope you're okay with copy-and-pasting. The material at Recurring wild Pokémon in the anime looks so good to me that I think it can just be transferred. GrammarFreak01 (talk) 21:09, 25 August 2018 (UTC)
If the admin are fine with it, I am. Just tried to make it my own words. Thanks--BigDocFan (talk) 21:45, 25 August 2018 (UTC)
You're welcome. I'll try to work on it later. Have some errands to do IRL. GrammarFreak01 (talk) 21:46, 25 August 2018 (UTC)

Was wondering if you might be able to Singaporean with a few of his pages. User:Singaporean/Jun_Fukuyama--BigDocFan (talk) 10:47, 6 September 2018 (UTC)

Did you mean to say "help"? In that case, I don't think I want to do that right now. I got on his bad side very recently and he thinks I'm harassing him, so I will distance myself from his work for now, until it gets moved to the mainspace, that is. GrammarFreak01 (talk) 15:22, 6 September 2018 (UTC)

May and Max's brother

We should only add that May and Birch haven't mentioned Brendan because Norman's kids are only May and Max. May doesn't have any brother but Max in the anime. From, Sean 00:17, 6 September 2018 (UTC) - unsigned comment from PokéSean (talkcontribs)

We don't know if Brendan's appearances in the anime are actually canon or not. This all seems speculative, so I wouldn't support an inclusion of that material. Also, please leave your signature using four tildes (~). GrammarFreak01 (talk) 00:28, 6 September 2018 (UTC)

Unsigned Comments

Hi,

Don't forget to mark unsigned comments, like the one from PokéSean above, with the {{unsigned|username}} template, as per the Bulbapedia Signature Policy. I've went ahead and done that one for you.

Thanks

RotaRaichu (talk) 07:08, 10 September 2018 (UTC)

Sorry, my bad. GrammarFreak01 (talk) 17:16, 10 September 2018 (UTC)

Hi

Was wondering if you could help with my newest page for mainspacing as voice actor pages appear to be your specialty. User:BigDocFan/Ayano_Shibuya--BigDocFan (talk) 16:46, 12 September 2018 (UTC)

Sure thing. :) GrammarFreak01 (talk) 16:48, 12 September 2018 (UTC)
Thanks, learnt my lesson from the other pages, best to get it checked before mainspacing.--BigDocFan (talk) 16:57, 12 September 2018 (UTC)
That's great to know. :D GrammarFreak01 (talk) 16:58, 12 September 2018 (UTC)
Definitely easier to work with fellow members than compete so to speak--BigDocFan (talk) 19:54, 12 September 2018 (UTC)
Can't argue with that. GrammarFreak01 (talk) 22:01, 12 September 2018 (UTC)
When you get a chance, can you take a look at User:BigDocFan/Kiyomitsu_Mizuuchi.--BigDocFan (talk) 15:51, 15 September 2018 (UTC)
Of course. GrammarFreak01 (talk) 20:41, 15 September 2018 (UTC)
Thanks. Do you think they are worthy of being mainspaced yet or in the near future?--BigDocFan (talk) 20:56, 15 September 2018 (UTC)
I think so. They fulfill the requirements at Bulbapedia:Project VA. GrammarFreak01 (talk) 20:56, 15 September 2018 (UTC)
Rather pleased that two more of my pages have been mainspaced. No doubt many more to come in future.--BigDocFan (talk) 21:25, 15 September 2018 (UTC)
I see. GrammarFreak01 (talk) 21:35, 15 September 2018 (UTC)
Me again, would you mind giving User:BigDocFan/Shinya_Fukumatsu the once over and let me know if it can be mainspaced.--BigDocFan (talk) 12:02, 16 September 2018 (UTC)
Everything looks fine, save for one little polishing touch I did. GrammarFreak01 (talk) 16:32, 16 September 2018 (UTC)
Hey, thanks for your help with Hau's Dartrix, I know it hasn't appeared in Japan yet but getting things ready. No doubt my recent Japanese voice actor pages are better than they were before.--BigDocFan (talk) 16:47, 17 September 2018 (UTC)
You're welcome. :) GrammarFreak01 (talk) 01:50, 18 September 2018 (UTC)

Stop saying Ultra form, as I explained here: https://bulbapedia.bulbagarden.net/w/index.php?title=Pikachu_(Pok%C3%A9mon)&diff=prev&oldid=2848043 Playerking95 (talk) 18:00, 13 September 2018 (UTC)

Yeah, I just saw that. Sorry. GrammarFreak01 (talk) 18:01, 13 September 2018 (UTC)

Pointless edits, once again

There was absolutely no need for you to make this (and related) edits, absolutely no need. The page was last edited in 2009, and the change you made did not affect how the page will look. Seriously, how did you find that? No one is expected to find that sort of thing. And yes, there are inconsistencies with the captialisations of redirect links, but so what? It's not like it'll stop it from redirecting, it'll still redirect the page. It'd doesn't matter. No one will care. Leave it. You have a record of making small miniscule edits that does not affect the page. And you have been warned many times over this. If it does NOT affect how the page looks, there's no need to fuss over it. Leave it be.--ForceFire 04:03, 16 September 2018 (UTC)

Abareru-kun

Was wondering if you think Abareru-kun was worthy of a voice actor page. Had a go at doing one myself but don't feel so comfortable doing this one.--BigDocFan (talk) 14:27, 18 September 2018 (UTC)

No, doesn't look like it. Sorry. GrammarFreak01 (talk) 16:54, 18 September 2018 (UTC)
Decided from now on to leave all the voice actor pages to you, make things easier that way.--BigDocFan (talk) 20:03, 18 September 2018 (UTC)
Oh, come on, don't say that. I think you can do it. It's all just a matter of evaluating which characters actually qualify as being notable. I'd say the character would be notable if they play a major in two or more episodes. GrammarFreak01 (talk) 00:31, 19 September 2018 (UTC)
Decided to give it a go but following Force Fire's comments, decided to mainspace first and ask you to give it a look over. If it still needs work doing, it can remain on my userspace until a time it is ready. Can you take a look at my latest one? User:BigDocFan/Ryota Iwasaki--BigDocFan (talk) 21:06, 19 September 2018 (UTC)
Yeah, sure. GrammarFreak01 (talk) 02:38, 20 September 2018 (UTC)

American Gramar

Hi. After seeing your change to my edit on Guardian Deities and the change to the spelling on "Color/Colour". Is American English usually preferred when editing articles? I feel like you'd know more that I do. (I also live in the UK so it's normal to me) Cheers Ice Cream 14:58, 20 September 2018 (UTC)

I see American English here more often that UK English (forgot what that one was actually called), so I presume so. GrammarFreak01 (talk) 17:53, 20 September 2018 (UTC)
Cheers Ice Cream 22:45, 20 September 2018 (UTC)

Rebecca Becker

Was wondering if you could assist me with User:BigDocFan/Rebecca Becker, I know her only confirmed role so far is Mimo but with her name appearing in other episodes without Mimo, there may come a time where she is notable enough for her own page.--BigDocFan (talk) 10:30, 21 September 2018 (UTC)

Could you also give User:BigDocFan/Kazuyuki_Okitsu a look over please?--BigDocFan (talk) 18:01, 29 September 2018 (UTC)
Sorry, but if he's voicing a character of the day, then this VA is not inherently notable. GrammarFreak01 (talk) 19:11, 29 September 2018 (UTC)
Could you give User:BigDocFan/Lori Phillips. She may not be notable just yet but we never know.--BigDocFan (talk) 09:43, 1 October 2018 (UTC)
I think she's notable. But I'm still a bit hesitant because I believe Lori Phillips may be a pseudonym for Lori Gardner due to certain overlaps in their filmographies. I'm just not sure... GrammarFreak01 (talk) 02:03, 2 October 2018 (UTC)
Good point there, I shall ask Lisa Ortiz whether or not they are the same.--BigDocFan (talk) 05:58, 2 October 2018 (UTC)
Heard back from Lisa Ortiz, long story short, she won't confirm any pseudonyms.--BigDocFan (talk) 15:11, 2 October 2018 (UTC)
Well then, you can go on ahead with the article, since Phillips voices a recurring character, but I'm still suspicious. GrammarFreak01 (talk) 18:51, 2 October 2018 (UTC)
Will do, we can easily merge the articles if it ever gets revealed they are the same. What about Rebecca Becker?--BigDocFan (talk) 18:52, 2 October 2018 (UTC)
She'll work too, since she has a few other roles to her name. GrammarFreak01 (talk) 18:57, 2 October 2018 (UTC)

(resetting indent)Just a shame we can't do much for Rosie Reyes. There is a page in progress (User:Super10ZX/Rosie_Reyes) but little information to mainspace it.--BigDocFan (talk) 20:06, 2 October 2018 (UTC)

Indeed. GrammarFreak01 (talk) 20:09, 2 October 2018 (UTC)
Sorry to keep bothering you but I may have found the information needed to mainspace it. Can you take a look?--BigDocFan (talk) 20:48, 2 October 2018 (UTC)
Sure. GrammarFreak01 (talk) 22:39, 2 October 2018 (UTC)

Not-up-to-standards Messages

You have left not-up-to-standards messages on several Sun and Moon episode pages, though with no context as to what the issue or issues may be. I have only edited the SM075 plot summary, only seeing a few missing links, but the details are there. Most of these pages had already been edited by other users in response to FinnishPokeFan92's messages, but I need to ask what is of issue to warrant such messages? PardescanSlowbro (talk) 00:48, 22 September 2018 (UTC)

Some remaining spelling and grammatical errors, as well as redirect or broken links. I was planning on taking care of them, but I was very tired so I left those tags as reminders for myself and anyone else interested in doing some more polishing work. Plus, doing any kind of edit to those articles would help put it or update it on my email watchlist as a further reminder. GrammarFreak01 (talk) 03:06, 22 September 2018 (UTC)
I keep a to-do list in a Word Document, which helps me keep track of potential editing projects. You could try the same to save putting alerts onto pages. Thanks for the explanation, I'll leave those summaries and pages to you. I look forward to seeing the results, and hopefully I can apply those to my future edits.
On another note, thanks for the work you have been doing on the voice actor pages. I know many other users are also glad to see what was a seemingly abandoned area of Bulbapedia getting some attention. PardescanSlowbro (talk) 06:48, 22 September 2018 (UTC)
It helps me better if I receive email alerts on recent edits on pages that I have already edited, so I could preview the changes and see what needs changing. But thanks for the suggestion. GrammarFreak01 (talk) 18:22, 22 September 2018 (UTC)
Hi GrammarFreak01, I was wondering when you were planning on working on the episode plots and removing the alerts? Without any context no one else can think of what to do to edit and therefore rectify the issues with them in their current form, and as I found when I performed some minor edits on SM075 a few weeks ago you will likely reinstate those messages. PardescanSlowbro (talk) 06:33, 12 October 2018 (UTC)
There are so many articles that I have to take care of, so I don't know for sure. You can ask other users to help pitch in. I'm sure users like Force Fire and Tiddlywinks will see what needs fixing. GrammarFreak01 (talk) 22:45, 12 October 2018 (UTC)

Your revision on the EP81 page

Hi, I noticed that you reverted my edit on the said page. Mind if I ask why you did that because I personally thought it was better grammar that way. TheGreenBeetle (talk) 22:25, 3 October 2018 (UTC)

My bad, I didn't read the sentence the whole way through while previewing it. My reversion has been reverted now. GrammarFreak01 (talk) 22:43, 3 October 2018 (UTC)

My edits on Arbok and Weezing

Hi, I want to ask why you reverted my edits on the Arbok and Weezing pages? I don't want to edit war with you since I got in trouble with it a couple of times, but if you revert my edits, can you at least explain why because I was only trying to improve the pages! TheGreenBeetle (talk) 00:24, 6 October 2018 (UTC)

Too wordy. It was fine as it is. And always preview your messages before you submit them. That way you don't have to sign every time after you submit a message. GrammarFreak01 (talk) 00:25, 6 October 2018 (UTC)
Right, thanks. But can't I at least add back when Arbok and Weezing refused to attack the Pokemon at the palace since it is an indication of their good in them? I personally think it's useful information--TheGreenBeetle (talk) 00:29, 6 October 2018 (UTC)
The sections already describe that. There's no need for more details. GrammarFreak01 (talk) 00:30, 6 October 2018 (UTC)
Can I take this to admin to see what they think?--TheGreenBeetle (talk) 00:31, 6 October 2018 (UTC)
Why? This is undisputed. There's no need to do that. GrammarFreak01 (talk) 00:33, 6 October 2018 (UTC)
What do you mean undisputed?--TheGreenBeetle (talk) 00:34, 6 October 2018 (UTC)
Don't the sections already say that material you're suggesting? GrammarFreak01 (talk) 00:35, 6 October 2018 (UTC)
Well I personally don't understand why it's such a big deal is adding something interesting from the anime that describes their personalities. There's nothing wrong with having more than one example of describing their persona.--TheGreenBeetle (talk) 00:37, 6 October 2018 (UTC)
One example suffices. We're not going to mention every last example of this, or be selective about it just because it sounds interesting and cool. That's going to bore the readers if they realize they're reading a blocky paragraph that's nothing more than a list. GrammarFreak01 (talk) 00:40, 6 October 2018 (UTC)
Well if that's the case, than can we add this anime event on their History sections? What you just said to me was all you had to tell me when you reverted it.--TheGreenBeetle (talk) 00:42, 6 October 2018 (UTC)
Only if the Pokémon and their actions played a major role in the episodes you're mentioning. The "History" sections are selective based on the episodes a character played an important role in. GrammarFreak01 (talk) 00:45, 6 October 2018 (UTC)
Ok. Argument over.--TheGreenBeetle (talk) 00:47, 6 October 2018 (UTC)
Alright. Also, I will have to reiterate, please preview your messages before you send them. I'm trying to write my responses but I always get locked into an edit conflict while submitting them because of your fixes and additions. GrammarFreak01 (talk) 00:49, 6 October 2018 (UTC)
I'm sorry about that. I will admit this, my edits are not perfect and that is a habit I need to work on especially on wikis like this, and I don't want to put any weight on your back.--TheGreenBeetle (talk) 00:52, 6 October 2018 (UTC)
It's alright. It honestly didn't help me that another user was contacting me at the same time as you. Just be mindful of the preview button for next time. GrammarFreak01 (talk) 00:54, 6 October 2018 (UTC)
I will try to keep that in mind next time. And hey, I'm still learning here, but who isn't?--TheGreenBeetle (talk) 00:56, 6 October 2018 (UTC)

Re: Sockpuppet account

Hello,

I'm not sure what you're referring to when you say I'm using a sockpuppet. Doondook is a friend of mine, I don't control his posting but we do collaborate sometimes. An admin can check our IPs.

Best wishes,

Bogavante

- unsigned comment from Bogavante (talkcontribs)

Abcboy certainly didn't seem to believe that. GrammarFreak01 (talk) 00:41, 6 October 2018 (UTC)
Ah, so you suggest I have a chat with him? Not sure if I'm being sanctioned by admins or anything. - unsigned comment from Bogavante (talkcontribs)
I informed Abcboy, the admin who blocked you, about your claims. He will be the judge of that. For now, you're not sanctioned. Read your talk page; we filled you in on this already. GrammarFreak01 (talk) 00:47, 6 October 2018 (UTC)
Yeah thanks, really appreciate it. So who are you, are you a moderator here at Bulbapedia? - unsigned comment from Bogavante (talkcontribs)
No, just a dedicated longtime user with a keen eye for things. I'm not able to personally sanction you or anything. GrammarFreak01 (talk) 00:51, 6 October 2018 (UTC)
Ah yes, a fair thing that you can't sanction. How did you get information that I was allegedly sockpuppeting? Just curious about the whole affair. - unsigned comment from Bogavante (talkcontribs)
Because I saw that Abcboy blocked the Doondook account and his reasoning for doing so. As the one who welcomed Doondook, I thought I'd send you a warning about that since you yourself weren't blocked. GrammarFreak01 (talk) 20:53, 6 October 2018 (UTC)
I get what you're saying now. So Doondook's account was blocked? Well that's an incorrect block which should be looked into by another admin. Is there any kind of structure set up by which we can get in contact with a higher member of the administration team about the issue? - unsigned comment from Bogavante (talkcontribs)
You just realized the Doondook account was blocked? Abcboy and I messaged you about that; do you not check your talk page? Anyway, like I said before, I informed Abcboy about your message. I am not aware of any structure to get in contact with a higher member of the administration. From my understanding, Abcboy is one of the higher members of the administration as it is already. GrammarFreak01 (talk) 21:17, 6 October 2018 (UTC)
Yes, because there's no word in the messages you guys sent which says he was blocked. I wasn't aware of it until now - it makes the mistake more serious in terms of consequences. You don't see a possible conflict of interest in this? The exact person accusing us wrongly of breaking the rules should not be the one to arbitrate the issue. Nothing personally against him, I'm sure he's a very nice guy and happened to make a mistake, but for the sake of transparency and accountability the dispute should be handled by another pair of eyes. - unsigned comment from Bogavante (talkcontribs)
Well, just so you know now, whenever we talk about a sockpuppet in any capacity, there's a 100% chance the account in question was blocked. No exceptions.
No, I don't see a problem with that. Abcboy is an experienced user who's been here for years, way longer than me for sure, and there's a reason he's an admin. I had a content dispute with another user a few months back, he overruled a decision made by an admin that was lower on the food chain, provided reasoning for it, and that was the end of that.
You've been here for only a few days and your sole concern right now is a small content issue on the Silver article that I can't be bothered to further inform myself about. A cursory look at the discussion tells me that since Doondook was quick to jump to your defense, despite being a member for way less time than you, it was natural Abcboy assumed you were a sockpuppet. I for one cannot take your word for it that you and Doondook are different people, because you and I probably live on the opposite ends of the world and I have no way of personally reaching you to see for myself. I did all I could, telling Abcboy of what you said, but if you want to press further with the issue, you're going to have to tell Abcboy yourself, or otherwise do your research on the true bureaucratic process. I wish to have no further involvement in this matter.
P.S.: Please sign your messages with four tildes (~). It's a Bulbapedia custom that all users must take seriously. Thank you. GrammarFreak01 (talk) 21:36, 6 October 2018 (UTC)

Hey

Was wondering if you could give User:BigDocFan/Masami Iwasaki a look over. Probably not ready for mainspacing yet but it might occur in future.--BigDocFan (talk) 21:31, 6 October 2018 (UTC)

Sure. GrammarFreak01 (talk) 21:37, 6 October 2018 (UTC)

When to talk to users

I've said it before and I'm saying it again... Sometimes I believe you misunderstand when you should be interjecting yourself in a conversation and when you should be leaving things to staff, particularly when saff are already involved.

This is precisely the case with your message on Bogavante's talk page. You are not staff. Staff blocked him. Usually when staff block someone they will explain it shortly. It's not your place to do that for us. Even if somehow it seems no one's leaving an explanation, the most you should do is ask the person who performed the block about it.

I would urge you to try to consider why you made this decision and how you can remind yourself not to make similar mistakes in the future. Tiddlywinks (talk) 00:03, 7 October 2018 (UTC)

Is that a blockable offense? GrammarFreak01 (talk) 00:12, 7 October 2018 (UTC)
Not necessarily. If you're just jumping in somewhere and trying to "help" when staff are already talking to a user, that can be distracting and/or (frankly) annoying, but it may not be an explicit "problem". (Which is kind of why I keep it to myself most of the time.) Where it concerns something like blocked users, though, it could be seen as usurping staff's authority. We can understand your intention and we don't "need" to discipline you for it, but if it remains a habit, I don't know if we might not consider it.
The short version is: if you can rein in your bad habit, it won't be a problem. Tiddlywinks (talk) 00:30, 7 October 2018 (UTC)
Okay. GrammarFreak01 (talk) 01:20, 7 October 2018 (UTC)
Hey Tiddlywinks, mind getting a staff member to check out my request for further review? The charges are false and I would like to get them out of the way soon.Bogavante (talk) 01:46, 7 October 2018 (UTC)
If you're going to make that request, do it on Tiddlywinks' own talk page. Please don't bring it here. GrammarFreak01 (talk) 01:47, 7 October 2018 (UTC)

Wakana Kingyo

Feel free to tell me to stop if this becomes annoying but could you have a look over User:BigDocFan/Wakana Kingyo. She probably isn't notable just yet but there might come a time that she is.--BigDocFan (talk) 16:04, 13 October 2018 (UTC)

Sure thing. GrammarFreak01 (talk) 00:18, 14 October 2018 (UTC)

Editing

It's been a little hard not to follow your argument with Mikuri. And I have also thought that, at the very least, you have a bad habit of editing a page after someone else does when you already edited the page before and probably should have been able to do it all the first time around. I don't generally have a whole lot of time to examine in detail every edit you make and how reasonable they are, but with your history of saying you want to make a million edits or whatever, it does convey a whiff of being...opportunistic perhaps.

Your recent editing on M19 falls in that very vein... I will start by saying that your first edit to the page makes no sense. How in the world do you think that "in December 5" makes sense? Every other date there, in fact, says "on [date]". Your second edit, after my reversion of your first, also makes no sense. Disney XD is not a physical location where "at Disney XD" makes sense. This smacks of either searching for something to edit just to either add an edit to your count or as Mikuri believes to have the last revision...or, at "best", just searching for something so you can make a response in the edit comment. In short, there seems to be no option but bad reasons for that edit.

I'm sure I've seen you editing and responding to things unrelated to your current edit, so I'm going to expand on that a bit too. Do not look for an edit just to make some response. If you feel like responding, use a talk page. Editing should be done for its own sake, not as a secondary reason. If you didn't see it the first time you were there, then, again and especially when you're in a "dispute" of some sort, it really smacks of looking for an edit for bad reasons.

The long and short of this is, you should be striving to be a quality editor. When someone edits as much as you, even if a bad habit is relatively infrequent it can build up quickly.

Tiddlywinks (talk) 11:00, 16 October 2018 (UTC)

Sorry for the delay in my response. Anyway, in regards to the edit to M19, I quickly undid that edit without really checking what exactly was being changed. I simply thought Pikachuluckynumber25 swapped the sentence around and didn't reasonably expect anything else to have been changed. Plus, if one doesn't pay attention, "in" and "on" can look like the same thing, especially considering font sizes. I apologize for that; I already had a long day at school when I started editing again so my attention span must've been low.
As for "edit[ing] just to make some response", it was a practice that I saw several times as a user on Wikipedia and I instinctively took that here. I apologize for that too, but I was under the impression that it would be okay since someone (Force Fire, I think) told me that Bulbapedia's rules try to adhere to those of Wikipedia as much as possible. GrammarFreak01 (talk) 22:13, 16 October 2018 (UTC)
I certainly don't remember telling you that. Bulbapedia's rules and how we do things are different to Wikipedia. As for your edits, I won't remind you again to not make pointless edits, but make sure you check to see what you're reverting as you could be reverting legitimate edits (something I also do, I must admit). Lastly, slightly off topic, if you're going to comment on someone's long message on my talk page, at least don't make it twice as long as theirs. I already had a massive section right above, so seeing yours and Mikuri's section was off-putting (and is why I've been holding off responding to it).--ForceFire 05:52, 17 October 2018 (UTC)
I pretty sure an admin told me they like to think of Bulbapedia as a little like Wikipedia. I might be thinking of something else, since I edit on a lot of Wikias, but I'm confident I heard that here. As for the long response to the long comment, I needed to provide evidence of my claims. I'm sorry if I burdened you with having to read through that, but I wanted to defend myself and make my own case. GrammarFreak01 (talk) 06:03, 17 October 2018 (UTC)

Re: Heads up

Okay thanks for letting me know, I will bear in mind what you said next time I edit articles :) Ozank (talk) 16:42, 16 October 2018 (UTC)

Yeah I know, sorry. I tried to make an effort to undo it several times but there seems to be some odd abuse filters active that prevented me from moving it to where it should have been. Ozank (talk) 22:16, 16 October 2018 (UTC)
Oh. That's weird. Maybe you should ask an admin like Force Fire about that. Anyway, thank you for the explanation. GrammarFreak01 (talk) 22:22, 16 October 2018 (UTC)
New users generally get abuse filter warning when they make largescale edits. Though I don't believe that's the case here. Once you've become a member for some time, you shouldn't be getting the filters.--ForceFire 05:52, 17 October 2018 (UTC)

Help me...

As you've probably noticed, I've been going through every piece of Pokémon anime media to add missed major events, correct any errors regarding character debuts, and so on. Now I'm getting a bit confused about the Pikachu shorts and Pokémon movies. Should the "debuts" section in the movies also have a "Pokémon debuts" subtitle? Also, there are Pokémon whose Pikachu short appearances that aren't listed on their species articles. To put it shortly, I'm getting tired with this and need help. Could you please provide that help? --FinnishPokéFan92 (talk) 10:20, 20 October 2018 (UTC)

Of course. I've actually started work on listing appearances in Pikachu's Vacation last night. GrammarFreak01 (talk) 19:19, 20 October 2018 (UTC)
Yeah. I noticed. Keep it up. Thank you. --FinnishPokéFan92 (talk) 19:50, 20 October 2018 (UTC)
You're welcome. :) GrammarFreak01 (talk) 20:00, 20 October 2018 (UTC)
Hope you don't mind me helping out--BigDocFan (talk) 20:44, 20 October 2018 (UTC)
It's okay, I've got this. It's just some simple copying-and-pasting, with only minor changes involved. GrammarFreak01 (talk) 20:44, 20 October 2018 (UTC)
I'll leave it to you then.--BigDocFan (talk) 20:46, 20 October 2018 (UTC)
Alrighty then. GrammarFreak01 (talk) 20:46, 20 October 2018 (UTC)
Especially as with Gloom, we both added the same line --BigDocFan (talk) 20:49, 20 October 2018 (UTC)
Yeah, that was what I was going to say. We're editing articles at the same time and there's bound to be problems from that. It's better if only one person did it, and since I took on the duty first, I think it should be me. That's probably poor logic, but... GrammarFreak01 (talk) 20:52, 20 October 2018 (UTC)

Where is Eievui Going?

Was wondering if you could give me a hand with User:BigDocFan/Where is Eievui Going?. I know you're busy with other stuff but I would appreciate it.--BigDocFan (talk) 13:58, 21 October 2018 (UTC)

Never mind, a page has already been created--BigDocFan (talk) 15:38, 21 October 2018 (UTC)

Martha Harms

Me again, would you mind giving me a hand with User:BigDocFan/Martha Harms? I know she has only one confirmed role but I have noticed her name appear in many episodes recently so she might be viable in the near future.--BigDocFan (talk) 21:04, 26 October 2018 (UTC)

I apologize for not responding in a while; I had IRL matters to attend to. Anyway, I'll see what I can do. GrammarFreak01 (talk) 07:06, 28 October 2018 (UTC)
Thanks, I understand that real life can take precedence over Bulbapedia if you get my meaning.--BigDocFan (talk) 08:48, 28 October 2018 (UTC)

Autoconfirmed

How much edits, and how much time you have to wait to be autoconfirmed? --FanOfYoshi (talk) 17:55, 31 October 2018 (UTC)

I'm not an admin, so I don't think I'm qualified to know the answers to that. Not that I actually know them, anyway. GrammarFreak01 (talk) 17:56, 31 October 2018 (UTC)
I'm not an admin as well, but I know that users aren't supposed to know the answer to this. This may be an attempt to make users make edits for the sake of improving articles, not for the sake of just reaching that specific count for autoconfirmed status. Kikugi (talk) 10:45, 1 November 2018 (UTC)

Professor Burnet's Munchlax

Thanks for your help with the Team Skull Pokémon pages, chances are they won't be notable for mainspacing based on abcboy's earlier comments but I thought I would continue work just in case, was wondering if you could give User:BigDocFan/Professor Burnet's Munchlax a look over when you get the time.--BigDocFan (talk) 22:20, 31 October 2018 (UTC)

Sure. GrammarFreak01 (talk) 22:21, 31 October 2018 (UTC)

Lauren Kammerling

I know I keep asking you for assistance with my pages but as an expert, your help is valuable so could you give User:BigDocFan/Lauren Kammerling a look as well.--BigDocFan (talk) 10:32, 1 November 2018 (UTC)

Sorry to keep adding but could you give User:BigDocFan/Nicole Fujita a look as well.--BigDocFan (talk) 19:04, 1 November 2018 (UTC)
Of course. GrammarFreak01 (talk) 19:11, 1 November 2018 (UTC)

Daiki Yamashita

Just for a reminder for not tried to created another article as I already created this, okay? Singaporean (talk) 09:40, 7 November 2018 (UTC)

Okay... I don't understand what you just said... GrammarFreak01 (talk) 18:40, 7 November 2018 (UTC)
I think Singaporean was letting you know he'd created a page for Daiki Yamashita in case you were planning on making one.--BigDocFan (talk) 18:54, 7 November 2018 (UTC)
Oh, okay. I wasn't planning to anyway, because I don't think he meets Bulbapedia:Project VA requirements... GrammarFreak01 (talk) 18:55, 7 November 2018 (UTC)

Hau (anime)

I know it is a bit early but when you get a chance, could you give me a hand with User:BigDocFan/Hau_(anime), I feel it is possible Hau may deserve an anime page in the future.--BigDocFan (talk) 15:12, 10 November 2018 (UTC)

Yes, of course! GrammarFreak01 (talk) 22:05, 10 November 2018 (UTC)
Was wondering if you could sort out the CharInfobox, having copied it from the games section, it doesn't look right in the anime.--BigDocFan (talk) 14:32, 18 November 2018 (UTC)
I'm not sure where that would be. GrammarFreak01 (talk) 21:27, 18 November 2018 (UTC)
Comparing it with Gladion's page, I made amendments.--BigDocFan (talk) 21:56, 18 November 2018 (UTC)
Oh, now I know what you meant. Regardless, I still didn't know what exactly what I would've changed, so...good job. GrammarFreak01 (talk) 21:56, 18 November 2018 (UTC)
Guess the easiest thing to do is to check similar pages for comparison and work from there--BigDocFan (talk) 21:58, 18 November 2018 (UTC)
I guess so. GrammarFreak01 (talk) 22:07, 18 November 2018 (UTC)

Devolution Silvally -> Type: Null

Hello GrammarFreak01, I'm a foreigner here on the site (I only speak Portuguese, I'm using Google Translate). What are the criteria for a Pokémon to perform a Devolution? I think that this character of this artificial Pokémon should be evaluated. (NanayaShiki07) (talk) 18:54, 10 November 2018 (UTC)

I'm not sure, but Type: Null's transition into Silvally is being treated as evolution, not devolution, in multiple sources, otherwise it wouldn't be treated as such on Bulbapedia. You're going to have to discuss with the admins about this. GrammarFreak01 (talk) 22:58, 10 November 2018 (UTC)
Okay, I just joined this site to discuss the issue of this Sillvaly Type: Null phenomenon. Where can I find the administrators and discuss the validity of the subject? (NanayaShiki07) (talk) 19:05, 10 November 2018 (UTC)
Well, I would first try to keep posting on the devolution talk page like you were doing, but if you still don't get any responses, try Force Fire or Abcboy. On an unrelated note, I'm going to repeat myself: please use four tildes (~) when signing your messages! GrammarFreak01 (talk) 23:08, 10 November 2018 (UTC)

Barrett Leddy/Emily Cramer

Was wondering if you could give User:BigDocFan/Barrett Leddy and User:BigDocFan/Emily Cramer a look over. I know they haven't done much but with Leddy voicing Molayne and Cramer credited in more recent episodes, I feel they have potential for having their own pages in the future.--BigDocFan (talk) 10:58, 14 November 2018 (UTC)

Okay. GrammarFreak01 (talk) 18:49, 14 November 2018 (UTC)

NeverMetShipping Edit

Excuse me, sir. Could you please tell me why you undid my edit to the above mentioned page? Due to your undoing, it now forces anyone who clicks on the link to have to scroll down since it doesn't take them to the badge's information. DragonFeather (talk) 18:53, 14 November 2018 (UTC)

That's just the way it's always been formatted. GrammarFreak01 (talk) 18:50, 14 November 2018 (UTC)
Perhaps, but that doesn't mean it's effective as a way to quickly look up the information. DragonFeather (talk) 18:53, 14 November 2018 (UTC)

Me again

Would you mind giving User:BigDocFan/Pikipek Line (anime) a look please, hoping it could be mainspaced at some point.--BigDocFan (talk) 09:00, 15 November 2018 (UTC)

Okay. GrammarFreak01 (talk) 09:03, 15 November 2018 (UTC)

Error Resolution

I seem to have made an error when updating the anime section for Bloom Doom. Tried to sort it out myself but can't see what I did wrong so could you take a look?--BigDocFan (talk) 12:40, 18 November 2018 (UTC)

Not really sure how to handle those edits. I just undid your edit. Ask an admin for advice. GrammarFreak01 (talk) 12:41, 18 November 2018 (UTC)
Thanks anyway.--BigDocFan (talk) 12:42, 18 November 2018 (UTC)
You're welcome. GrammarFreak01 (talk) 12:43, 18 November 2018 (UTC)

(resetting indent)The error happened because you didn't add an extra pair of brackets at the end of the move link. {{mcolor|Leafage|{{grass color dark}} needs an extra pair of bracket since it's a template within a template (the first pair of brackets only closes the grass color dark template, leaving the mcolor template unclosed), so it should be {{mcolor|Leafage|{{grass color dark}}}}.--ForceFire 14:48, 18 November 2018 (UTC)

Yeah, I realized my mistake, will have to be more careful in future.--BigDocFan (talk) 14:57, 18 November 2018 (UTC)

Hyperbola - Some Clarifications & Questions

Hey, thanks for the welcome and the heads up about the preview button.

I actually have been using the preview button to make sure my edits are correct before saving. The reason for the many edits in one section on a page is because I am editing as I play Let's Go Pikachu. For example, if I run into an item on a route that isn't on a wiki page for that route, I will immediately add it to the page. However, I have ran into many items that weren't on the wiki yet so I ended up adding each found item with another update to the page upon finding them throughout my playthrough. Is this alright to update one at a time or do you prefer that I just make a list on my own and then add them at the end once I finish playing through a certain area?

Also, I was looking at the itemlists for some of the routes and city wiki pages, and the order is kind of confusing to me because the items in the list seem to be in a sort of random order. What I mean is that the items for different games seemed to be grouped separately, like a Pikachu/Eevee item, then a FRLG item, then a RBY item, then a GSC item, making it hard to follow in order which items you should be looking for if you're following along for just one game. Wouldn't it be easier to rearrange the items based on game, and then the order they are found in that particular game? Take Route 4's itemlist for example, the order of the games goes PE FRLG PE PE RBY FRLG PE FRLG RBY FRLG GSC HGSS HGSS GSC/HGSS. This was kind of annoying to follow once I got to Route 4 because when I was reading the list, I had to skip FRLG & RBY items in the list for the ones in Let's Go Pikachu. Is this ordering intentional or can I change it, because it seems that an order like RBY RBY FRLG FRLG FRLG FRLG GSC HGSS HGSS GSCHGSS PE PE PE PE is easier to follow.

Thanks, Hyperbola (talk) 04:41, 20 November 2018 (UTC)

I recommend adding all of these items and other information in batches just to minimize the amount of edits. For example, wait until you reach some sort of save-point in the game, and then you can add everything you encountered before then. If you can't remember all of the stuff you encountered, write it all down in a list. GrammarFreak01 (talk) 04:16, 20 November 2018 (UTC)
Alright, thanks for the help and the reminder about the talkpage rules with the siganture. Do you know anything about the itemlist question I mentioned in the second paragraph above? Hyperbola (talk) 04:41, 20 November 2018 (UTC)
No, I do not. I don't have those games. GrammarFreak01 (talk) 05:17, 20 November 2018 (UTC)
separating the items based on game order would be a fine idea, but this website likes to follow the idea that if two items in two separate games are located in the exact same spot and are the same item, they should be grouped together. if we separated the items based on games then it would be REALLY confusing to, for example, scroll all the way to the bottom to look at the lets go items, only to realize later that there was another item up top grouped with RBY because it was the same item in the same spot. the downside to this is, like you said, that you have to skip over the other games that you are not playing. altho that's not TOO bad. this idea has its merits too; we dont have to repeat items, for example. but listing the items in game order wouldnt be very practical with this idea in mind. --EternalDragonX (talk) 16:46, 20 November 2018 (UTC)

Could you please help me with making an "R"-ticle? (Pun aside, an article for R)

I need some help. I saw that you contributed to the Detective Pikachu (game) article.

Anyway, currently R redirects to Trainer Tower#In the Pokémon Adventures manga. However, R is actually an important substance in the Detective Pikachu game. I created User:Unowninator/R as per the advice of Glik Chosen, but... I'm really bad at Language Arts, so I'm just can't write a whole article by myself. Can you please help me write it? ¿¡Unowninator?! (talk) 16:32, 20 November 2018 (UTC)

Sure, I'd be glad to help out however I can. GrammarFreak01 (talk) 20:48, 20 November 2018 (UTC)
Ah, thank you so much. :) ¿¡Unowninator?! (talk) 22:11, 20 November 2018 (UTC)
You're welcome. I already made some edits, but considering the length of your article, I didn't think there was much I could do at the moment. GrammarFreak01 (talk) 22:12, 20 November 2018 (UTC)
Yeah, I just did what I remembered at the time. Rather than replay the game, I'll watch it on youtube to recollect the info. Although considering it's a 9-hour video, it'll definitely take a while.
Should we mentioned who used it, and what Pokemon it was used on? So far, I remember: SPOILER ALERT. I forgot the names of the people that used it though. ¿¡Unowninator?! (talk) 22:28, 20 November 2018 (UTC)
Sorry, I don't have the game. I'm just in it for the proofreading and expansion. GrammarFreak01 (talk) 22:37, 20 November 2018 (UTC)
I see. Well, thanks anyway. Do you know anyone that does have the game? I'd rather not ask too many people unless I have to. ¿¡Unowninator?! (talk) 22:40, 20 November 2018 (UTC)
Sorry, I do not. GrammarFreak01 (talk) 22:40, 20 November 2018 (UTC)

Gilles Motais

Was wondering if you could give me a hand with User:BigDocFan/Gilles Motais please?--BigDocFan (talk) 08:41, 22 November 2018 (UTC)

Sure. GrammarFreak01 (talk) 06:18, 23 November 2018 (UTC)
